About this experience
Everest Base Camp Trekking will give us massive pleasure to introduce you to an amazing Mt. Everest view of the world's highest peak. Perhaps in viewing Everest in this way, you will be satisfying a long detained wish. Without hesitation you will never be quite the same again. Forever since the days of early climbing Everest expeditions, this 8,848m mountain has had a lure of its own, drawing climbers to scale it and trekkers to look on its icy faces. We begin our trek from Lukla after a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu. When we land at that miniature airstrip of Lukla, the adventure really begins. During trekking, we spend several days moving through the homelands of the Sherpa people, and will see Buddhist monasteries in Tengboche, Panboche and close up views of Mt. Everest and adjoining Ama Dablam, measured by many to be among the most attractive mountains in Nepal.

Unforgettable EBC Trek with an Exceptional Team
Highly Recommend Green Valley Trek! Our Everest Base Camp trek this July/August was nothing short of spectacular, and it is entirely thanks to the incredible team at Green Valley Trek. Planning an EBC trek during the off-season comes with unique challenges, but Green Valley managed every single detail flawlessly, tailoring the itinerary to our exact needs and requirements. The level of support we received went above and beyond. Because of their meticulous planning and coordination, I was even able to work remotely during some critical days of the trek without any disruption to my job.Our guide, Gopal, was absolutely phenomenal. There are truly no words to describe how well he took care of us throughout the journey. His deep experience and seasoned expertise shone through every day. When my son fell sick during the trek, Gopal provided dedicated, personal care, ensuring his health and safety while managing the logistics so seamlessly that we were still able to complete the trek exactly as we had envisioned. The support from the office was equally outstanding. Arjun and Raj were fantastic from day one, patiently answering all my questions and making us feel completely comfortable with the entire undertaking. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Arjun in late June while he was traveling through Toronto. He is a truly great, dependable guy whom you can trust completely. In addition to the trek, Arjun arranged two unforgettable day tours of Kathmandu that beautifully rounded out our trip. While the mountains were as breathtaking as always, it is the people who support you along the way that make the experience truly worth relishing and remembering forever. We are already hoping to come back for another adventure with Green Valley Trek in the future!

Best Experience!
We just finished our 10-day Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return, and it was amazing. I highly recommend booking with Green Valley Treks. From the first day on the trail our guide Bishwa went above and beyond in every sense. His recommendations throughout the trek were spot-on, whether it was what to order off the menu or when to push and when to rest. Beyond logistics, Bishwa brought a depth of knowledge and warmth that made the entire journey richer. He clearly loves what he does, and that enthusiasm is contagious. Five stars without hesitation and a huge thanks to Bishwa for getting my husband and I to Base Camp safely! It was truly an unforgettable experience.

Highly Recommended EBC Trek Team – Special Thanks to Guide Anil
I recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Green Valley Trek Nepal, and I had an amazing experience throughout the journey. Everything was very well organized, and the team ensured that the trip was smooth, safe, and enjoyable from start to finish. A special thanks to our guide, Anil, who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring throughout the trek. He always understood our pace, motivated us when needed, and made sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of at all times. His experience and friendly nature truly made the trek much more enjoyable and memorable. The entire team was supportive, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our experience a great one. I highly recommend Green Valley Trek Nepal to anyone planning the EBC trek or any adventure in Nepal. Thank you once again for such a wonderful experience

Best trek!!!
Our trek to Everest Base Camp was truly the experience of a lifetime, and a huge part of that was because of our incredible guides: Anil and Brashaun. From the very beginning, they were knowledgeable, organized, and endlessly supportive. They not only knew the trails and mountains inside and out, but also shared so much about the local culture, history, and people along the way, which made the journey even more meaningful. Anil and Brashaun constantly checked in on everyone, making sure we were safe, healthy, and comfortable at high altitude. Whether it was adjusting the pace, helping with gear, or offering encouragement during the tougher days, they were always there with patience and positivity. Their experience and calm confidence made us feel completely taken care of the entire trek. Reaching Everest Base Camp was unforgettable, but it was the people leading us there who made the trip so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better team and would recommend this trek to anyone looking for an amazing adventure with exceptional guides.

Why this scores 94
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Trekking: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Trekking cost?
+
Prices start at $1600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Trekking take?
+
Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Trekking worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 94 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 551 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trekking?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Base Camp Trekking suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 336-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trekking?
+
Around 193 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Trekking start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
