- Physical Condition And Experience Requirements
- Everest Base Camp Trek is an exciting moderate trekking destination for all the adventure travelers who have the ability to hike around 3-5 hours a day in the breathtaking Himalaya region of Everest.
- The Everest Base Camp Trek is not a technical trek, it is possible to trek with a basic level of fitness, a good training plan prior to your Everest Base Camp trip will make that much more enjoyable and it doesn’t require any climbing skills. We have seen many different ages of travelers are completing this trek like old, young, overweight and underweight and they all are very much appreciated about the journey, as a non-technical trek that does not require crampons, walking poles, oxygen cylinders, ropes, and technical equipment. But our company will be provided the warm down jackets and sleeping bags if you do not have your own. A normal EBC trek is accessible to most trekkers who have some genus of fitness level and decent drive with a lot of stamina to last two weeks on the cold weather in the mountain.
- if you could convenience yourself to take some normal pre-training courses like daily physical exercises, jogging, running, climb the staircase and walking down, cycling, swimming and hitting gym etc that would be greatly helped to accomplish the journey easier.
- Accommodation during the Trek
- t services on the selection in Kathmandu and all Accommodations are provided on the twin-sharing basis. The single supplement will be served if you are a single traveler. Accommodations during the trek in the mountains, basically you will be staying at basic trekking lodges where you will have a nice and clean room with the warm blankets, pillows, and comfortable matrices ( matrices size cannot be very thick size but still comfortable). All the facilities during the Everest base camp trek are not as same as Kathmandu but still very pleasant and suitable. Do not expect everything is the high level of standards in the mountain. Alpine Ramble Treks would be glad to ensure the attached bathroom in every possible place even on Everest region in advance booking, in some places; you have to compromise in sharing a bathroom at high altitudes area because there is no room with attached bath have being built at this elevations area.
- High standers Hotels in Kathmandu like 4-5 stars will be provided on your request with the extra cost basis

- The Everest base camp trek is well-established trekking route of Nepal Himalayas where you can get the numerous trekking lodges along the way in the whole journey and basic meals are available in the trekking lodge on this route. The meals are served by our company as per our inclusive way which is included on this Everest Base Camp trek program. Basically, the foods are provided in the same tea house where you stay overnight and there are no outside foods is allowed according to the rule and regulations of the local community but you can simply take the normal snacks, water and drinking stuffs from outside as you wish which are allowed. In order to complete the 12 Days Everest base camp, the food is one of the most important factors that you really need it to hike in the Himalayas. The meal in this trek is very convenient and fresh except meat items, usually, we take our breakfast and dinner at the same lodge where we stay and for the lunch, our trekking guide will be chosen every day at the best place possible along the way,
- Food during the trek, you will have full options to select your preferred meals items from the menu which are provided by the local tea houses, the Menu offers verities of ethnic cuisines foods as well as western styles meals including Sherpa stew, Fresh vegetable items, Rara noodles, different soups, handmade bread items, rice items, spaghetti, pizza, eggs, potatoes items, Apple pie, Dal Bhat and various of drinking like Black tea, lemon tea, Hot chocolates, Ginger tea, Milk coffee/tea, green tea, black coffee, Lemon ginger tea are available on menu in this trek. The meals are quite surprising on this trek then other trekking routes Like Annapurna and Langtang regions of Nepal, all are selected items from the menu of the lodge will be fresh, hygienic and tasty. Some places, there are non-veg item meals are available however we do not recommend to take these meat items in the Everest region as they are not hygienic and healthy during the trek. The fresh and healthy meals during the trek like Dal Bhat, Vegetable items and soups items ( Garlic soup, potato soup, onion soup with the food, ) are recommended which are prepared by the local supplement and do not store as a long period of time to serve it.
- The water is available everywhere during EBC trek which cost around 2-3 dollars per liter of botels or you can also use the normal tap water for free but water purification pills are required to filter. And we would like you to take a separate proper bottle for hot water reason because cold water cannot be fit every time in the high altitude area and it’s too cold.

Brilliant service
Amazing experience seeing the Himalayas in so many different ways over the last 2 weeks. The team at alpine ramble made this seamless (apart from the hard work hiking to ebc!). Big shout out to Dil Man Gurung and Prem Tamang who have had smiles on their face the entire time, while supporting us with everything we need without fail. Flawless service for us.

Trip of a lifetime!
Absolutely incredible experience. Mr Prem and Dillman were absolutely incredible and we could not have done it without them. So kind and so helpful. Will definitely recommend to everyone. Best Trip of my life!!

Easy choice in choosing Alpine Ramble
I had a great experience working with Alpine Ramble. Dil took care of all the arrangements and was always available if there were any questions/concerns. I was never stressed during my time in Nepal, even when plans changed due to the weather. The Everest Base Camp trek, with helicopter return, was absolutely fabulous. I had a highly experienced guide, in Laxman, and a good porter as well, in Santa. The trek exceeded expectations and we made it to Base Camp on time and in good shape. I'd highly recommend Alpine Ramble for any trekking adventures in the area.

Great experience to Everest Basecamp within 7 days.
Had the best EBC trek thanks to my guide Amar and porter Tek from 5th May 2026 - 11th May 2026 kept us safe through altitude, knew every tea house, and somehow made 7 days of hiking feel fun. Amar was a machine — carried way more than his share, always smiling, always first to offer help. They treated us like family. If you’re going to EBC, ask for them. 100% recommend, Alpine Rumble Treks (company), Amar (guide), Tek (porter).

Why this scores 93
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026 cost?
+
Prices start at $1339 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026 take?
+
Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026 worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 93 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 220 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026 suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 336-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026?
+
Around 77 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Trekking - 2025/2026 start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
