Trip to Tibet & EBC ... Excellent !
The trip was divided into two destinations: Lhasa (Tibet) and Everest Base Camp in Nepal. The first thing to highlight is that thanks to Bhagwat, the owner of Himalayan Adventure, we organized all the travel details in advance: dates, hotels, contact with guides and drivers, flights, visas, departure and arrival times, itineraries in each city, meals, porters, helicopter, and ground and air transfers. We discussed and organized everything online almost two months beforehand, and... everything worked perfectly! Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our driver met us at the airport. We arrived at the hotel, located in the heart of the tourist area, and were greeted by Bhagwat himself. He gave us our visas and tickets to Tibet. From the air, we saw the majestic Himalayan mountain range, with breathtaking views of its peaks and valleys. In Tibet, we were met at the airport. After a long journey to Lhasa, we rested at the hotel. For the next three days, we were transported in a private van to various points of interest, including monasteries, the magnificent Potala Palace, restaurants, and city squares. Our guide provided comprehensive explanations of every aspect of life, culture, Buddhism, sacred sites, and history. We visited the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung and Sera Monasteries, and took a trip to Yamdroke Lake. The hotel was very well located on Barkhor Street. And now… on to Everest and… a legendary flight to Lukla (all safe and sound). We met our guide and porter, Ang Pemba Sherpa and Ang Dorje Sherpa, excellent people and wonderful travel companions throughout our journey. For the next eight days, we trekked through breathtaking landscapes towards Phakding and Namche Bazaar, followed by longer climbs to Tangboche and Dingboche. At the heights of Lobuche and Gorakshep, we were short of breath, but thanks to our experienced guide, we overcame it. Finally, the long trek to base camp, through wind and snow – celebrations, hugs… an excellent experience. An incredible helicopter ride back to Lukla and then on to Kathmandu – everything went according to plan. It was a wonderful experience, and we are grateful for all the support and organization from Himalayan Adventure, Bhagwat (its owner), and all his team. Hugs to everyone, and until next time!

Unforgettable EBC Trek - Even Better Guide! Ask for Prakash!
Completing the Everest Base Camp trek this May 2026 was an absolute dream come true, and booking this 11-day trek with the helicopter return was the best decision we could have made. The views were breathtaking, but what truly made this trip flawless was our incredible tour guide, Prakash. From day one, Prakash went above and beyond to ensure our group was safe, comfortable, and having a blast. He accommodated every single one of our requests—even the last-minute ones—with a huge smile and a "no problem" attitude. His logistics management, mountain expertise, and genuine care for our well-being took all the stress out of a very challenging trek. If you are planning to do EBC, do yourself a huge favor and ask for Prakash!

One of the best for EBC Trekking
Worked with Prakash Adhikari through a friend's reference who had done Annapurna and Everest Base Camp with him before. We did the luxury version of the tour for better accommodation and a helicopter return from EBC. It was quite fun, and one thing to note is that Prakash and his team were very accommodating. They would make changes right away, even with very late or almost no notice. Very happy with his service and hospitality.

The Most memorable Journey of my life
This hiking trip was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. Words can’t fully capture the feelings and personal growth I experienced, but I’d like to focus on the outfitter who made it all possible. If I could give them 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat! Simkhada, the owner, along with Prakash Adhikari, our lead guide, and Dorji, Yadav and Dikpal, assistant guide were absolutely incredible. All of them would greet us with smile and takes care of smallest request with smile until late night. Each one went above and beyond, almost as if they could anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. Thanks to their dedication and teamwork, I was able to achieve my dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. This company and its staff are highly trained, compassionate, and committed to ensuring every hiker reaches their goal. Beyond just guiding us, they enriched our journey with insights into local customs and each town we visited, making it a true cultural experience. Prakash carefully selected tea houses for us, ensuring comfort and authenticity at every stop. I could go on about the behind-the-scenes magic that Simkhada and Prakash worked to handle logistics and tackle challenges in our favor. Their expertise and genuine care made all the difference. I highly recommend this company. We’ve used them before, and there’s no question we’ll turn to them for our next expedition in Nepal.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days cost?
+
Prices start at $2800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days take?
+
Plan for about 264 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 264-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 264-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return -11 Days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
