    Do it!

We enjoyed the bus and actually road it a few times. We got different tips and stories from different drivers. We also found out we got into the little museum free with our bus ticket which we also really enjoyed. We got it in the afternoon and were still able to use it the next morning. Well worth it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review. We’re delighted you enjoyed the bus, the stories from our drivers and the added bonus of the museum entry. It’s great to hear you found the ticket good value and made the most of it!

    Heatwzve in Dublin

All the drivets where very knowlagable, friendly and chatty, even when one of our buses broke down due to the heat, the driver made it a fun experience as we waited for the replacement. Full marks all round.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review. We’re delighted to hear our drivers were friendly, knowledgeable and kept things positive, even during the bus breakdown. We really appreciate your kind words and full marks!

    Great adventure to be had.

I had some friends over from Canada so was a spur of the moment idea to bring them on the hop on/off bus. We had no time to actually visit any of the places but I have a few now in my head that I knew nothing about and want to visit another time. Im from Dublin and learned so much and even remembered some stuff from way back when I was in primary school. Damien was our driver and I jumped on his bus in O,Connel Street heading south and asked him how I could get tickets. He warmly gestured us onto the bus and gave me one of the tour leaflets that I could scan and make a payment. He is very friendly and informative and he can actually hold a tune. He was full of banter for the whole trip and had most passengers laughing along the way. Thoroughly enjoyed his company and the whole tour in general. I have now got the idea for me and a couple of friends to repeat the experience and actually get off the bus and visit some of the places I saw. My only regret is that I didn't really spend enough time researching the company and how it operates. If I had I would have known their are 2 separate bus tours in the ticket price. We just ran out of time to do the second one on the day and my Canadian friends are off home so we won't get the opportunity until they return again. Great way to see Dublin and great way to experience the Irish banter from Damien. A true blue Dub. Well done guys. Its a great service.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a wonderful review! We’re delighted you and your Canadian friends enjoyed discovering Dublin with us, and we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Damien. We’re especially glad his banter and singing added to the experience! We hope you’ll join us again soon to hop off and explore some of the sights you discovered.

Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 894 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour?

    +

Around 313 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dublin Public Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
