    About this experience

Don’t wear any poppies on this tour please Looking forward to meeting you just remember this tour is the fun freewheeling tour and it doesn’t suit all personalities . I’m expecting you to have a happy disposition and to be enthusiastic.this tour doesn’t suit everyone. This will be a light hearted tour , funny history of Ireland and generally having fun , if your interested in serious history of Ireland ask me I know some great tours for that . Everyone must be over 21 ,the tour is about 4 hours long , sometimes shorter. Also I don’t drink , so no pubs on this tour . There is lots of walking and some stairs so keep that in mind when booking this . I left out the tour details because I want it to be a surprise. This is a light hearted look at Irish history. If you have 5 or more people in your group , please send me a message before booking onto the tour I only have 10 people per tour so I must arrange things accordingly.

Walking tour was excellent! It was the highlight of our trip. Patrick did a wonderful job leading us through Dublin and hitting all of the secret spots.

Lots of walking, full of surprises

Not for everyone, but definitely full of surprises and wit. The tour guide was very spirited and knowledgeable. It is a lot of walking so be prepared. We sang, we read, we ate ice cream. We had a great time!

    Fun afternoon

Great fun! From chocolate tasting to Ulysses readings and tons of random facts in between, you will enjoy having Patrick tour you around for 4 hours or so. We were lucky to have beautiful weather.

    The best part was reading...

The best part was reading Ulysses together. There was also a fabulous chocolate store with delicious truffles.

    Great guide

If Dublin has a best-kept secret, it might be this tour. And if this tour has a best-kept secret, it's the guide (Patrick). I expected hidden alleys and history. I didn't expect to be so full of laughing and entertainment. Between the stories, the humor, and the random little surprises tucked into different stops (I'm still smiling about Cockles and Mussels), it felt less like a walking tour and more like wandering the city with a cheeky, knowledgeable local who somehow knows everyone. The real standout was his kindness. My flight was delayed, and he actually waited and met up with me later. That level of customer service is incredibly rare and set the tone for the experience. Come for the hidden gems, stay for the guide, and maybe not for Ulysses.

Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 553 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour?

    +

Around 194 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dublin's Best Kept Secrets Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
