About this experience
Transylvania is Romania’s most popular travel destination, and its charming and mysterious castles are a big part of the almost mythical fascination it spreads. Great tour to Transylvania
Bogdan was a very knowledgeable guide who drove a really nice Mercedes van. He was able to share many interesting details on Romania including political, economic and social information. We learned much and had a great day sightseeing with him. We highly recommend him.

Greatly impressed by the best of Transylvania in one day.
We took a private trip with the fabulous Sergiu after reading reviews. He is a skilful driver and a knowledgable communicator. It's a long day (12hrs) with a lot of driving but well worth it. We loved Bran castle/fortress - it was on our bucket list. It is well renovated and looked after. A negative - there didn't seem to be enough Dracula memorablia at the gift shop. Brasov old town had glorious old buildings - favourite was the pink and silver one. Peles Palace is a masterpiece of artisan craftmanship. We loved the copper frescoes in the library, the beautiful leadlight windows and the two amazing Murano glass chandeliers. Be sure to follow your driver's advice to buy entry tickets online in advance. We couldn't recommend this trip with Sergiu more highly. Thankyou - you are a star - a highlight of our trip.

Private driver made the day.
Peles castle, stunning from outside (closed the day we went) Brans castle interesting but way too many tourists, was like a cattle market. Our driver Pavel made the day for us, he was so knowledgeable and interesting. He plays in a rock band who we listen3d to and they are good. Toxic humidity is the name check them out.

Romanian Castle Tour
A fun filled castle mad dash through Romania. Roger was the best. He customized our day to meet our needs and was very knowledgeable. He even picked us up at our hotel in the morning and dropped us off at our dinner reservation because we were cutting close when we got back to Bucharest. The trip to both castles makes for a long day, but it was worth every minute.

Drago our guide was very friendly and knowledgable of the history of the castles and Romanian history in general. We enjoyed the tour very much.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.
How much does Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest cost?
+
Prices start at $176 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.
Is Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 100 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest?
+
Around 35 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dracula Castle, Peles Castle & Brasov-Private Tour from Bucharest start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bucharest?
+
On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bucharest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bucharest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
