    Amazing Private Tour of Romania

We arrived in Romania for our honeymoon and after exploring and a good nights sleep, we met Bogdán for our 3-day tour. He was punctual, easy going, and extremely knowledgeable about a myriad of topics of Romanian and Transylvanian history, culture, politics, and folklore. Especially being able to easily tie in medieval history of the Ottoman vs Hungarian conflicts. Each site we visited he had knowledge of when it was built (or rebuilt), who funded the initial construction, what influences at the time led to the architectural design, and how the construction had or was an influence on Romanian politics, culture, and history. Per the wife, “ Bogdan is a great guide!! Very knowledgeable about Romanian history and politics and city architecture Very personable Safe driver Knows good food spots and traditional foods to try 11/10 would pick him again and recommend him to friends”

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind and comprehensive review about your experience with Bogdan around some of what Romania has to offer! I really appreciate it! Comments like yours helps us allot and it allows us to keep doing what we are doing and we love it! All the best thoughts and kind regards!

    Great day out with Bogdan.

We would highly recommend Christina Tours as the service from start to finish was excellent. Our email queries were handled promptly by Dan even before we arrived in Romania. Our group of five really enjoyed our day out in Transylvania in the company of Bogdan/Boggy. We were picked up promptly and as this trip involves spending several hours on the road, Bogdan kept us all entertained for hours and hours. He was extremely patient with our never-ending queries about Romania, be it the country's history, about places of interest elsewhere in Romania or about sports etc. He also took us to some great spots during the course of the day to take some photographs. Due to traffic and long entrance queues, the day proved to be much longer than expected but we were never rushed through any of the sites. Bogdan also seems to have friends in high places as we managed to jump the queue at Bran Castle - which was such a welcome surprise as it meant we could escape the 38 degrees Celsius furnace much quicker than expected. Our long day out also meant we were very, very late for our dinner booking in Bucharest but Bogdan kept calling the restaurant to ensure they kept a table for us. Bogdan also gave some great tips/recommendations on what to see, do & eat during the rest of our stay in Romania. He really is a fantastic guide. Despite this being a private tour, it was great value and we also had the advantage of doing everything at our own pace.

Response from the operator: It was such a pleasure to read your very kind feedback, a great reward for myself and Bogdan, thank you so much for your comprehensive review, we really appreciate it! I am very happy that he was your guide as he is a very valuable colleague that enjoys allot what he is doing and loves his country and history, always eager to share it with guests! Until your next trip to Romania, all the best wishes and thoughts from myself and Boggy! Best regards, Dan

Bogdan nailed this tour for us

You'll spend a lot of time on the road on this day tour from Bucharest and so the driver is really important. We were very lucky to have Bogdan as our driver and guide. He kept us entertained throughout with great historical knowledge and enthusiasm for the area. Peles Palace is spectacular with its opulence and Bran Castle is quite the spectacle too. Brasov was lovely, particularly getting to have a drink with Bodgan. Highly recommend the tour, Bogdan in particular.

Response from the operator: I am very pleased to hear that Bogdan managed to provide the tour that you want and had such a great time together, he is one of our most valuable colleagues, very eager, enthusiastic and with a degree in history! I agree that everywhere the driver is very important to deliver a safe ride, but maybe especially in Romania out of all the EU countries this is super important. Thank you very much for your kind feedback, we really appreciate it!

Visit to Peles Castle and Bran Castle

We had a great day doing the Dracula Tour with Florin. Florin was very knowledgeable and a very pleasant relaxed guide. Four of us travelled in a private car first to the Monastery at Sinaia, then to Peles Castle and Bran Castle and finally had lunch at the lovely town of Brasov. Florin was always very happy to stop off for coffee breaks whenever we wanted. I highly recommend Florin and this tour - we were only in Bucharest for 4 nights but this tour meant we saw a lot more of Romania and its beautiful countryside. It is a long day but well worth it.

Response from the operator: Florin is one of our best tour guides so I am very happy that you enjoyed the day with him, exploring the Peles and Bran Castles and Brasov historical city! Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with the TripAdvisor community, it is a great reward for myself and Florin!

Dracula Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.

How much does Dracula Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dracula Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.

Is Dracula Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dracula Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dracula Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dracula Private Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dracula Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bucharest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bucharest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bucharest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
