The Greatest Gift
Michaela was THE MOST wonderful guide! She gave us the greatest experience ever. My sister, friend and I were celebrating the life of our mother. When Michaela found out our mother’s favorite movie was The Sound of Music, she took us all through Salzburg seeing the sites and teaching us the history of her beautiful city. It was the best way that we could honor our mother and Michaela is the reason we were able to make it happen. Would recommend this tour and Michaela 1,000 times!
Response from the operator: I am flattered. Thank you so much for your wonderful message! This was a very special day for you and I liked the idea to honor your mother with this tour. She would have been very proud of you to see you all exploring Salzburg, learning about the history and the Sound of Music movie. It was my great pleasure to guide such wonderful, thoughtful and interested young girls. Thank you again and all the best, Michaela

Amazing tour!
Carolin was an amazing guide! She made sure to ask what we were interested in, and had lots of wonderful information about the sights. The route was easy enough for our ten year old to ride safely. The day was gorgeous and there was so much to see. Probably one of the best days of the trip

Fantastic tour!
Our tour with Mikaela was the highlight of our visit to Austria! She was such a pleasure to spend the morning with on a bike tour. She’s very laid-back, genuinely interested and fun to be with. We appreciated her flexibility in letting us tour the fantastic trick fountains at Hellbrunn Palace. My kids were very happy that E-bikes were an option for them and the riding was very flat and easy. We have been touring Europe all summer and this tour was one of our favorites. Highly recommend!!
Response from the operator: hello and thank you so much for your nice message. It was a great pleasure to meet you and your lovely family for an easy bike tour to Place Hellbrunn and Leopoldskron. This bike tour is a perfect way to see the city and the surroundings when you plan on staying for one or two days in Salzburg. I wish you all the best and have a save trip back home.

No guide
Guide never showed up. We waited 20 minutes and had the bike rental guy call with no luck. Positive got our money back.
Response from the operator: Hello, We are very sorry that the guide did not show up for your booked bike tour. There was a misunderstanding on our end and we would like to apologize for this mistake. We have refunded you the full amount immediately and we are happy to know that you have received the refund. Wishing you all the best in the future.

Recommended city tour with e-bike
We have a 4-hour period. City tour to the south of Salzburg booked. The bike tour started in the old town, led through the Mönchsberg, past Leopoldskron Palace and along Hellbrunner Allee to the Hellbrunn water features. An impressive ride, accompanied by a lot of knowledge and stories about the city of Salzburg by the charismatic boss Michaela Muhr.
Response from the operator: Hallo!... und vielen Dank für die freundliche Nachricht :) Es hat mich wirklich sehr gefreut mit Euch durch Salzburg zu radeln und die schönsten Aussichten sowie abgelegen Radwege zu erkunden. Alles Liebe, Michaela

Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salzburg.
How much does Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative cost?
+
Prices start at $445 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salzburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salzburg is not rushed.
Is Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salzburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salzburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salzburg and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salzburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salzburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Salzburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Austrian Apple Strudel Cooking Class including Lunch in Salzburg, Salzburg Oldtown: Sightseeing Walking Tour with Licensed Local Guide, Salzburg: Palace Concert at the Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salzburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salzburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
