Great small group experience
Meranda was absolutely awesome. She was friendly, personable, and knew how to tailor the tour to the family's age and interests. She was thorough, but not so much that the tour ran long. She left plenty of time for us to spend independently. The only downside, albeit minor, was that they changed our tour time and meeting location. The tour operator was not aware of the change, and it made for a slight delay in the starting time,
Response from the operator: Stephen, Meranda's ability to tailor the Tower of London tour to your family's ages and interests, while still leaving time to explore independently, is exactly the kind of thoughtful guiding that defines LetzGo City Tours. Regarding the meeting time and location, this can happen when third-party booking platforms update details before we're notified, and we recognize it caused a brief delay to your start. That said, we're glad Meranda's warmth and pacing made the Crown Jewels, Royal Secrets & Scandals Tour such a hit with the whole family. Thank you for choosing LetzGo City Tours!

The loners
Ben was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He was so patient and kind and took the time to introduce us to the Beefeaters when telling us their story.
Response from the operator: Hi Jill, what you experienced with Ben on the Tower of London tour—that combination of deep knowledge and genuine patience—is at the heart of what LetzGo City Tours delivers. The way he introduced you to the Beefeaters and brought their stories to life is exactly the kind of insider access and personal touch that makes these tours memorable. Thank you for choosing LetzGo City Tours!

Great tour
We had a tour with Don and he was great! Very knowledgeable about the Tower of London and the Crown Jewels. Despite the heat, we were able to enjoy this tour and learned a lot.
Response from the operator: Thank you Elizabeth, Don's expertise on the Crown Jewels and the Tower's history clearly shone through, even on a warm day like yours. That kind of knowledgeable, engaging guide work in challenging conditions is something we hear about again and again from guests on this tour. We're so glad you had a wonderful time with LetzGo City Tours.

Wrong place, wrong meet up time!
Viator changed the meeting place and time without notifying us. In their email on the day of the tour, the wrong spot was listed as the meeting place, along with the wrong time. Also the tour lasted only 2 hours, not 3 hours as stated in the description. However, Ben the tour guide was very informative.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the confusion with the meeting point and time. Meeting point or time changes are rare but can occur, and when they do, we confirm the update directly with the guest by email ahead of the tour — as was the case here. We're glad your guide was able to get the group started and deliver an informative experience. Our tours are structured to cover the full route and stories within the scheduled time, and any variation is generally due to group pace on the day rather than a shortened format. Guests on this tour consistently rate it 5 stars, often praising the guide's knowledge and storytelling. Best wishes for your future travels. The LetzGo City Tours Team.

London Tour Tour
This was very informative tour and we had an awesome tour guide John. He went out of his way to find us when we went to the wrong meeting point ( totally our fault). He brought us up to speed on what we missed and made sure that we had a wonderful your experience.
Response from the operator: Mary, John's willingness to track you down after you took a wrong turn and then bring you seamlessly back into the tour speaks volumes about his care for the group. That extra mile—literally and figuratively—combined with his informative storytelling is what makes the Tower of London Crown Jewels tour such a standout experience. Thank you for trusting LetzGo City Tours!

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $84 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Crown Jewels Royal Secrets Scandals and Tower of London Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
