Piazzale Montelungo is located 5-10 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria Novella train station. Find your seat on the comfortable coach bus, sit and relax, and prepare to depart for your journey to the nearby coastline! The drive to Cinque Terre will take about two hours. Throughout the drive, your guide will entertain you with plenty of interesting information about the famous views and villages on the way, as well as Cinque Terre and what to expect upon arrival. If you have any questions, your guide will be there to assist you.

    2. Stazione La Spezia Centrale

After about two hours, you will arrive in La Spezia, the closest city to Cinque Terre. Here, your bus driver will drop off the group at the train station. Your guide will lead the group through the small train station, and your group will get on the first train to Manarola. The train takes about ten minutes, and then you will arrive in the stunning coastal town!

      30 minutes here

    3. Manarola

If you select the Standard Cinque Terre Tour without Pisa, your first stop will be Manarola. Manarola is an ancient fishing village famous for its brightly colored homes and pristine white wine! Enjoy marvelous views of its sparkling blue sea, the impeccable homes stacked upon each other, and the green grapevines towering in the distance. Your guide will happily point out the best viewpoints for photos (Manarola is very famous on Instagram, its views are incomparable!). You will have about an hour of free time to explore this picturesque town as you please.

      60 minutes here

    4. Monterosso al Mare

The train ride to Monterosso will take about ten minutes. When you arrive, your guide will give plenty of recommendations for how you can spend your time in Monterosso. This historic fishing town is most famous for its wide, white sand beaches with crystal-clear water. Spend some time exploring the ancient town and indulging in some local street food for lunch. Then, find a spot on the pristine coastline to relax under the sun, take a dip in the incredible sea, and take some memorable photos! You will have plenty of free time in Monterosso to relax and to feel the marine breeze on your skin.

      120 minutes here

    5. Vernazza

From Monterosso, you will enjoy a 10 minutes boat ride to head to the nearby town of Vernazza (not included in the option with Pisa). The boat ride will take place only if weather/sea conditions will be considered safe by local organizers and will give you the opportunity to admire the fishing villages from another perspective! Admiring the Cinque Terre hills reflecting on the crystal clear waters of the Ligurian sea will be an experience you will not forget! You will have about 1 hour of free time in this lovely waterfront town. Make your way to the small, picturesque harbor, also called "the Pearl of Cinque Terre." If you are lucky, you will witness the local fisherman arriving back from their morning fishing in small blue boats. Enjoy the characteristic (and famous) views of Vernazza's emerald water and colorful homes. Spend some time strolling through the ancient streets smelling of fresh focaccia and pesto. If you need any recommendations, your tour leader will be happy to help!

      60 minutes here

    6. Riomaggiore

If you select the Standard Cinque Terre Tour without Pisa, your final stop will be Riomaggiore. Meet your tour leader at the train station to reach our final destination, where you will be welcomed by more brightly colored homes stacked on striking cliffs. Enjoy about an hour of free time to explore the beachy alleyways, purchase any last-minute artisanal souvenirs, and admire the lovely views. When it is time to depart, you will see the sun starting to settle and what seems like gold flakes over the sea, as small boats pull into the port after their days at sea.

      60 minutes here

A lot of walking, on and...

A lot of walking, on and off the train, but worth it! Beautiful cliffside towns full of colour and rocks and scenic lookouts. Our tour guide Maya was fantastic👍

Glad we went to Cinque Terre!

Excellent tour. Our guide, Camille was the best. Loved the trains through the mountains and boat ride to one of the villages. As far as promotion of the sites for the tour, they were not clear. Viator especially did not make it clear tickets for all the trains were extra?? They were mentioned as part of tour (how could they NOT BE). Camille was a gem to help us through that. We could have done with less time in the villages, not much to see, but understand some people want to eat, explore, go to the beach and shop. We waited around a lot. Met some super nice people and loved the children. The sound in the bus was not good. We were sitting in the back half of the bus and could not hear any of the history or information Camille was explaining. A long day, but fun and entertaining.

    Good family tour

This was a well timed day, it was great for our family of 5 (children 7,8 &10). It was a long day but each stop was long enough to look around and find gelato! Our guide Camille was very accommodating and friendly.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Cinque Terre Day Tour with Optional Pisa from Florence cost?

    +

Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cinque Terre Day Tour with Optional Pisa from Florence take?

    +

Plan for about 12.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Cinque Terre Day Tour with Optional Pisa from Florence worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 4,202 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cinque Terre Day Tour with Optional Pisa from Florence?

Is Cinque Terre Day Tour with Optional Pisa from Florence suitable for kids and families?

    +

How far in advance should I book Cinque Terre Day Tour with Optional Pisa from Florence?

    +

Around 1,471 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 12.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici -by a storyteller, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class with Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
