Cinque Terre in a day
Great way to see 4/5 villages in Cinque Terre in one day. We did the lunch excluded version. We went to Montorosso first and the only thing I would change is to allow more time in this village because of the beach. You can pay for chairs and towels at the beach (I think it was about 50 euros for 2 chairs and an umbrella and 4 euros per towel). We only had about 30 minutes to spend at the beach before we moved on to the next village. We could easily have spent another hour at the beach and an hour exploring the village. Our guide was knowledgeable and communicated well with the group on meeting times and places.

Despite some bad weather...
Despite some bad weather we were happy to get to visit the towns of Cinque Terre. The organization of this trip left some things to be desired. There were hundreds of people at the meeting point early in the morning with no ability to determine where to check in. It was also not the same local company disclosed in our confirmation which made it confusing. We were equally surprised to learn that there were over 60 people in our group when the Viator information said no more than 27. Also, there were English, Spanish, French and Portuguese people in our group and only 1 guide so made it more complicated. John, our guide was great and spoke all 4 languages but we really were not provided with any background or information on the area or the history and would have needed to be done in 4 languages. It was a very expensive day for basically just transportation to and from Florence.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, We’re sorry to hear the tour didn’t fully meet your expectations. While the trip was operated as planned, we understand how the large group size and multi-language format may have affected your experience. We always aim to make our tours comfortable, informative, and well organized, and we’ll share your feedback with our team to improve coordination at the meeting point and enhance communication throughout the day. We’re glad you still enjoyed visiting the beautiful towns of Cinque Terre, and we hope to welcome you again on a smaller or fully guided experience in the future.

A wonderful day trip- worth the time & money
Beautiful, breathtaking views. Loved the boat ride between towns. Very fresh and yummy seafood. Our driver, Mario, was skilled and kept us safe on the narrow roads. Our tour leader, Gabriele, kept us organized, on time and provided valuable info on each town. He sent emails and text messages with reminders of where and when to meet.

Too Crowded
Our tour guide was fabulous! However the time we went all the islands were extremely overcrowded and you really didn’t feel like you had enough time in each town to do anything except get back to the meeting spot. The bus ride took about two hours to get to the national park and the train rides between each town was jam packed. Over all great run tour, we must have just hit it at the wrong time.

Beautiful Day Trip to Cinque Terre
The full-day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre was amazing. Travel was easy with a comfy coach and a helpful guide. We explored Monterosso first, had a nice lunch, and enjoyed a scenic ferry ride with great views. Next was Vernazza, full of charm and perfect for wandering. We also visited Riomaggiore and Manarola, each with its own unique vibe. The train ride between villages was smooth and fun. Everything was well organized, and we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop. I highly recommend this trip if you're in Florence!

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence cost?
+
Prices start at $112 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence take?
+
Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 13-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cinque Terre Full Day Trip from Florence start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
