They spent more time trying to sell us things than the time we had to eat or for the visits actually scheduled on the tour, at least an hour and a half trying to get us to buy handicrafts supposedly original to the Mayan village, on the bus trying to sell us Mayan calendars, then at the end asking for a tip. Aside from the fact that on the same day I was sent a message reminding me of the tax payment and 5 dollars for life jackets at the cenote, and they charged me 6 dollars per person. I believe that tours should refrain from these constant sales practices; we pay enough when booking the tour, and if we have been treated well, we will give the tip we deem appropriate, not as an imposition or by trying to elicit pity.

What an exceptional guide and experience! Jose Luis was seamless and energetic as he switched between Spanish and English. He had jokes in his commentary that kept you engaged. It was a full day but worth it!
