Cenotes by bike and Mayan style cooking class is a 100% local experience and guided by locals. Riding our bikes we will visit and snorkel 4 different cenotes in my home town that just a few locas we know how to get to. When you book our experience you are not on a tour, you are hanging out with a family that happens to be a local.

What you'll see and do
Chemuyil
On our experience we will cook the most authentic traditional Mayan style pork, we start getting to my house where I will show & explain you the ingredients of what we will be using to cook, we seasoning the meat, we will cover it with banana leaves and put it to cook for about 2 & a half hours, meanwhile it cooks we will take our bikes to go snorkel in four different cenotes each very different from the other & part of our community town, there's many cenotes around Tulum but we will visit those that are not comercial & those that just a few locas we know how to get to, after the cenotes exploration we will get back to my house to eat our Mayan style meal that we prepared in the morning, you can make your own tacos & eat many you want. As local Mayans we will love to share part of our culture teaching you how to cook the most authentic Mayan food in the Yucatan peninsula & show very local surroundings to keep you away from the huge commercial & crowded cenotes park.
Pass by without stopping
This cenote will be the last one on our experience, it's a full open cenote with 2 wooden platform where you can jump from, also we will use our snorkel mask to explore around (about 30 minutes or more, after the snorkel we go to eat our cochinita pibil that we prepared on the beginning of this tour).

Amazing cooking and our favourite cenotes!
Gilmer and Gael were fantastic hosts. They made this actually our favourite activity on our trip. It was personal and the communication throughout was amazing.

Bike tour & Mayan cooking
We visited 4 small local cenotes, which were beautiful and not crowded. Our guides were friendly and we had a great time with them. The cooking was fun, and the cochinita we made was out of this world! Highly recommend this trip with Gilmer and Oswaldo, they run a fabulous tour.

A unique and very personal Cenote tour
This excursion was as good as everyone says it is. Talk about personalized service. Gilmer started the tour with meal prep on the table on basically the front porch of his house. Authentic traditional Mayan food. Kind of like Dutch oven. He put it on the Fire to let it cook while we did the tour of four unique cenotes traveling between each one on bicycles. He was a very personable host who explained everything very very well. The cenotes were not crowded. The water was crystal clear. Mask and snorkel weren't required but they allowed us to go through some tunnel areas underwater which was unique and fun. There were alternate routes to the Cenote Caverns if you weren't comfortable underwater. After the tour of the cenotes, we returned to Gilmer's home where we feasted on the meal he had prepped earlier. It was delicious! He tries to keep the group small so you get a very personal experience. This was worth every penny of the price of the Excursion. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth and more.

One of the best tours in Yucatan
I highly recommend this beautiful and well organized tour with Gilmer and his brother. The chosen cenotes are not too famous and we were sometimes even alone with our small group. The bikes were in great shape and the prepared meal was one of the most delicious ones during our whole 4-week-trip through Yucatán. We liked it so much, we even did a second tour with Gilmer.
