An enjoyable day but not the tour we booked.

We booked the Cotswolds Guided Day Tour with Evan Evans but found ourselves on the Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace Tour, as the two tours had apparently been merged. Although we generally enjoyed the day, the change was disappointing as we had deliberately chosen the guided Cotswolds tour rather than one incorporating Blenheim Palace. We had been looking forward to visiting Woodstock, but instead of being taken directly into the village, we were dropped at Blenheim Palace and had to make our own way into Woodstock to explore independently. This was not quite the experience we had expected when booking our tour. On a very positive note, our guide Angela and driver Sam were excellent. Angela did a wonderful job throughout the day, and Sam’s driving was first-class. Both contributed greatly to making the day enjoyable despite the itinerary change. The Cotswolds countryside was beautiful, and we enjoyed the opportunity to explore the villages. Our disappointment was certainly not with Angela or Sam, but with being placed on a different tour from the one we had specifically selected. Overall, an enjoyable day with excellent staff, but we would have preferred to receive the tour we actually booked.

    Pleasant Surprise

I originally took this tour because all the ones I wanted to take were sold out on the date. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and had a wonderful day. It was great to get out of the city and see the country side a beautiful castle with amazing grounds and more. Definitely glad I took the chance!

    Disappointing change of tour

Disappointing change of tour, but excellent guide and driver We were disappointed to discover on arrival that we had been put on the Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace tour instead of the Cotswolds Guided Day Tour that we had originally booked. We were not made aware of the change beforehand, which was frustrating, as we had specifically chosen the tour we wanted to take. While we made the best of the situation, it was disappointing that the tour company had changed our booking without informing us in advance. Customers should be given the tour they have booked, or at the very least be notified of any changes beforehand and given the opportunity to decide whether to accept them. On a positive note, our tour guide, Angela, was fantastic, and our bus driver, Sam, was also great. Both were friendly, professional and a real credit to the company. It’s a shame that the booking arrangements let the experience down, as Angela and Sam did a great job. Hopefully, the company will improve its communication and ensure that customers receive the tour they have actually booked.

    Blenheim castle and the Cotswolds.

Sam did a great job driving and we always felt safe. Angela was a knowledgeable tour director, sharing both the history of a place and in some cases its importance in modern times. We’re glad we made this trip.

Enjoyable time at Blenheim and the Cotswolds

Angela and Sam were great! Very professional and they made the trip enjoyable. Angela gave a lot of good information. Separately though I actually think Blenheim could be its own trip! There is so much to do there.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds Day Trip from London cost?

    +

Prices start at $107 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds Day Trip from London take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds Day Trip from London worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 674 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds Day Trip from London?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds Day Trip from London suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds Day Trip from London?

    +

Around 236 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds Day Trip from London start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour, Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
