Do not arrive at 6:00 - if you arrive by 8:00 am you should be fine. Boarding does not begin until 8:30. Perfect day trip to eat Bahamian food and swim in Bahamian waters. Reboarding and 2 separate immigration processes were tedious and unproductive.

Response from the operator: We truly appreciate your fantastic feedback! There is nothing quite like the warm, crystal-blue waters of Bimini Island, and we’re so glad you got to experience them.

    This was a great...

This was a great excursion. The only issues I had aboard the ferry was hearing the announcement and being able to charge phone. Travelers should be aware to bring a sweater for the cold A/C.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your awesome 5star rating. We appreciate the honest feedback regarding the ferry announcements and charging ports; we're always looking for ways to improve the guest experience and will look into these technical details. Also, thank you for the "pro-tip" about the A/C—bringing a sweater is definitely the best way to stay cozy while we transit! Best regards, Vincent

    Never again

The lack of communication was ridiculous. It was for my friend‘s birthday and honestly, we both agreed that this was not a trip to even remember. We paid for a golf cart on the ferry and they told us to return it by 4:30 PM the latest and yet around 2 PM. The golf cart handler raced us down on the island and told us to return the golf cart because they are closed. when booking the trip it said that it was from 6 AM to 6 PM but in reality it was from 11 AM to 8:30 PM…. it is very misleading because we had to check in by 7 AM and we did not leave until 9 AM and then we left Bimini around 6:30 PM and did not return until after 8 o’clock. There was really nothing to do in Bimini other than drink and eat food. The locals there were nice, but they also lacked communication and did not know how to direct people correctly and it hundred percent seems that they were not in correlation with the ferry or anybody who was at the cruise port in regards to what the cruise port or ferry stated about what was happen on the island compared to what the local stated after two hours of being on the island I was already ready to report back since we didn’t have the golf cart for the whole trip. We had no choice after dropping it off, but to return back on the boat and wait until it was time to come back and we notice other people did the same as well as other people were upset about, not having the golf cart for the full-time that was promised if I’m able to get a refund for this whole trip I would love one because it was not worth $600 considering the fact that also on the ferry there is no Wi-Fi someone that works on the ferry stated that the Wi-Fi does not work for $600. I believe that food should’ve been included and yet it was not regardless if it’s a two hour ferry ride and back I will never go to Bimini again because of this.

Response from the operator: Hello Shania Thompson, Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize that you didn't receive your tour confirmation. Our records indicate a message was sent 24 hours prior to the start time, and we regret any communication gap. Please note that we do not offer optional activities directly; we recommend contacting the golf cart provider for further assistance with those arrangements. Best regards, Vincent

    Don’t arrive at 6am.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO ARRIVE at 6am. It’s just a suggestion. Why come to the terminal at 6am for a 9am departure? Where’s the option for select early boarding? What a colossal waste of valuable time.

Response from the operator: Dear Celia Silvia, We are so sorry you failed to follow the check in instructions and therefore arrived at the wrong time. It’s always a good idea to check your tour confirmation. Best regards, Vincent

    Trip with family

It was worth the money but I ran into a problem on them emailing the last email that included a number that they needed in order for me to get on the ship. It took forever to get it fixed. Got on the sip 30 minutes before it was scheduled to leave.

Response from the operator: Hi there: Thanks for your awesome review and your feedback. Your confirmation number for tour check in is located on the top of your tour voucher or invoice. Best regards, Vincent

Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fort Lauderdale.

How much does Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $279 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fort Lauderdale usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fort Lauderdale is not rushed.

Is Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fort Lauderdale, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fort Lauderdale can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fort Lauderdale and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bimini or Grand Bahama Island Day Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fort Lauderdale within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Fort Lauderdale?

    +

Fort Lauderdale sells canal and Millionaire's Row boat cruises, Everglades airboat trips, snorkel and dive charters on the reef, and Miami and Key West day trips. Boat size and reef conditions drive the quality of the water tours. On Outty we rank every Fort Lauderdale experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1-Hour Interactive Pirate Cruise (arrive 30 minutes early), Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour, Half-day Everglades National Park Tour and 1-Hour Air Boat Ride. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fort Lauderdale?

    +

November to April, with warm water year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fort Lauderdale?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
