    Do the Bike-Hike Tour!

We had an amazing bike and hike tour—by far our favorite excursion on our trip. Vanja was a wealth of information about the history and culture of Montenegro and made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. Plenty of stops for photo ops and the cliff top views were breathtaking, plus lunch at a farm-restaurant—worth the hike for sure!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review 🙂 We're delighted to hear that the Bike & Hike Tour was your favorite excursion and that you enjoyed the stunning views, local food, and Vanja's insights into Montenegro's history and culture. We hope to welcome you back again someday!

Biking and Hiking in beautiful Kotor

This was a very active experience and we loved it. A few notes: Vanja our guide was wonderful...he has lived in Kotor most of his life so provided a lot of interesting information about the area and it's history. He was extremely personable. We did this tour in March..still off season for Kotor. We first walked from the port for about a mile to the bike shop, picked up our bikes and set off to the hike. The bikes are "old school"...pedals, breaks no electric capacity. We road on a narrow road which was fine but I think during the busy season it might be a bit of a challenge due to traffic. The hike was challenging for some...pretty much straight up hill. Once at the top there were beautiful views of the Kotor Bay. The description for the tour said they provided water and a snack. We didn't receive either but we were ok as we brought our own water and sandwiches. I'd suggest if you take the tour, you do the same. I'd definitely do this tour again..just be prepared for an active day! :)

Response from the operator: Thank you a lot for wonderful review. We are glad you had nice time with us .

A definite do…be prepared to hike straight up a mtn though

My favorite tour of our trip! What a beautiful place. Our guide (started with a V…can’t remember his name) was the best. The experience was something so different and immersive. Absolutely loved it.

Bike & hike tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kotor.

How much does Bike & hike tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kotor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bike & hike tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kotor is not rushed.

Is Bike & hike tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kotor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bike & hike tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bike & hike tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bike & hike tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bike & hike tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kotor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kotor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kotor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kotor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
