What you get

    About this experience

Cycling around Kotor bay is a phenomenal choice to explore the ancient settlements and history of the region. The tour starts from Old town of Kotor or Tivat, where we begin the ride. During this trip you would see some unique places such as the abandoned "Tresorela" palace, which is under UNESCO heritage and the "Temple of the Holy Mother", the largest Catholic church in the region. Later you would enjoy a short ferry ride to cross the bay to the other side. Cycling to Risan and Perast for a short break and refreshment at a local bar would make you enjoy the view of the bay. Than you would have a short boat tour to visit small island with Church of Our Lady of the Rock in Perast. After that we would continue cycling to the starting point, but meanwhile you would see some historical places like Our Lady of the Angel, Verige pass and several more. The tour is 45 km and it is all flat terrain except for one short uphill. It is mostly on the main road also used for cars, so be careful.

An enjoyable ride round the bay

We really enjoyed the tour, the places visited and our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. I did, however, find it difficult to get on and off a bike with a crossbar (normally for men) as I am not very tall and had to tilt the bike almost to the floor to mount and dismount. The roads can be very busy, which can be scary at times, but there are many places where you can use tracks at a lower level to avoid hills and the traffic too.

Response from the operator: I am so glad that you managed the tour 🙂 Thanks for review.

Best way of Seeing the bay and Getting a fun Workout at the same time

Everything was just perfect. The guide showed up right on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable, the tour covered every angle of the beautiful bay, lunch options plentiful, and the workout was great (nothing too difficult). At the end of the tour, you’ll feel like you’ve really gotten to know the bay well, and your body will say “thank you”!

Response from the operator: We love tours when the guest become our frined. Thanks a lot for ride and for best review.

    Spectacular views of Kotor Bay

Ivana met us at Sea Gate and began our 4.5 hour bike around the Bay of Kotor. She set a reasonable pace and offered stops along the way for water, pictures, and a coffee in Perast. This tour was a perfect way to enjoy the spectacular beauty of Kotor Bay and to stay active while we were on vacation. Thank you Ivana for a lovely day!

Response from the operator: Thank you as well. It was such a good thing to have you as guests 😊

Bike tour - Kotor Bay circle and visit Our Lady of the Rock: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kotor.

How much does Bike tour - Kotor Bay circle and visit Our Lady of the Rock cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kotor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bike tour - Kotor Bay circle and visit Our Lady of the Rock take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kotor is not rushed.

Is Bike tour - Kotor Bay circle and visit Our Lady of the Rock worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kotor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bike tour - Kotor Bay circle and visit Our Lady of the Rock?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bike tour - Kotor Bay circle and visit Our Lady of the Rock suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bike tour - Kotor Bay circle and visit Our Lady of the Rock?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Kotor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kotor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kotor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
