    Great, great , great

It was great! Three people didn’t show up so we had a private tour. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. They made us feel very comfortable. Learned a ton about lobsters and enjoyed eating g them as part of the tour. Great experience

Response from the operator: Three “greats” — we’ll happily take that! 😄 Sounds like the unexpected private trip was a pretty nice bonus too. We’re so glad the crew made you feel at home, taught you a thing or two about our favorite crustaceans, and then helped complete the education in the tastiest possible way! 🦞 Thanks for joining us on Belfast Bay!

Maine lobster experience, highlight of our Maine trip.

Great experience, beautiful views of the harbor by boat. Capt Mike was very knowledgeable on the lobster industry. Meal after checking traps was amazing. Lobster, shrimp, clams, oysters, mussels, corn on the cob. Highly recommend this excursion.

Response from the operator: Thank you, Janet! Being called a highlight of your Maine trip is about as good as it gets for us! 😊 Captain Mike loves sharing the real world of Maine lobstering, and it sounds like Belfast Bay put on a good show for you too. Then there’s that feast… lobster, shrimp, clams, oysters, mussels and corn—come hungry is definitely our advice! 🦞 Thanks for the wonderful recommendation!

SO MUCH FUN!!! Hats off to Cap’n Michael!

Hello from some Okies! Jessica here :) What a wonderful morning spent with my husband, some lovely new friends from Florida, and Captain Michael on his lobster boat!!! Enjoyable Maine experience from start to finish! Captain Michael is experienced in his craft and told us the ins and outs of the life of a Lobsterman. He is incredibly down to earth, genuine, funny, and kind. He told us some great stories about his family too! So cool to see the lobster cages pop out of the water and learn which lobsters get tossed back in and which ones are the money makers. I got to send our kids a pic of me kissing a “Keepah” - what more could a girl from Oklahoma ask for?!? 🥰🦞🤣 We also got to enjoy seeing Harbor Seals pop their heads out of the water and we had an especially thrilling time chasing a WHALE! What?!?!? This doesn’t usually happen, so it made for an extra special boat ride! (So glad Kyle upgraded to the “Whale Package”) 😜 Our meal at Young’s Lobster Pound was yummy and relaxing. Then back on the boat to head to the dock. Thank you, Captain Michael, for an unforgettable time! We loved it and highly recommend!!! And to our friends from Florida - John, Beth, Marguerite, and Elizabeth - we SO enjoyed your family and are grateful we got to experience such a fun excursion with you! - Jessica and Kyle Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…” Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬ “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ✝️🙌🏻❤️

Response from the operator: Jessica and Kyle, what a joy to read! 😄 We were smiling all the way through—from kissing a "keepah" to the exclusive (and completely unofficial!) Whale Package upgrade. 🐋🦞 While we can't promise whales, we're always happy when Belfast Bay decides to surprise us! Captain Michael will absolutely love your kind words. He has a real gift for sharing the life of a Maine lobsterman in a way that's authentic, fun, and memorable. We're also glad you connected with your fellow guests—some of the best memories come from the people you meet along the way. Thank you for choosing to spend part of your Maine adventure with us, and thank you for such a heartfelt recommendation. If Oklahoma ever calls for another lobster fix, you know where to find us! 😊

    Wonderful trip

We went out on July 22. We had a wonderful experience with Captain Michael and our guide Della. The meal at Young’s Lobster Pound was truly a feast. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! Captain Michael, Della, a day out on Belfast Bay, and a proper feast at Young’s—sounds like the ingredients for a pretty great Maine day! 🦞 We’re so glad you had such a wonderful experience and really appreciate the recommendation. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to Michael and Della!

Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Camden.

How much does Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine cost?

    +

Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Camden usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Camden is not rushed.

Is Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Camden, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Camden can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Camden and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Belfast Lobster Fishing Experiences — Midcoast Maine start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Camden within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Camden?

    +

Camden, ME packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Camden by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Camden experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Windjammer Classic Sunset Sail from Camden, Maine, Windjammer Classic Day Sail from Camden, Maine, Day Sails and Sunset tours on Schooner Surprise in Camden Maine. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Camden?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Camden, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Camden?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
