What you'll see and do
Stonehenge
Together with its surrounding prehistoric monuments, Stonehenge remains a powerful witness to the ancient civilizations that created it. Many theories have been proposed over the years about the function of Stonehenge. Is it the fossilized remains of ancient giants, a prehistoric temple, or a huge solar calendar? The only thing we can say for certain about Stonehenge is that we don’t know its true purpose, and maybe never will, which makes this mysterious place even more compelling. As a Tour Britannia customer you will avoid the long queues that build up at the ticket offices, even for pre-booked visitors. Tickets will be obtained on arrival by your guide who will also explain the background history of the stones, and generally help you to make the most of your time at this very special place.

Our guide and driver...
Our guide and driver David was terrific! He was very nice and quite knowledgeable about Stonehenge and Bath. Before we explored the sites, he provided helpful information and explanations, which allowed us to better enjoy our time there. He even took us to see the Royal Crescent since we had extra time at the end of the day and brought us back to London via a route that both avoided traffic AND gave us a different view of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion with David and highly recommend this experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review and for recommending our Bath and Stonehenge Private Luxury Tour. We're delighted to hear that you had such an enjoyable day with David. He takes great pride in sharing the history and stories behind each destination, so it's lovely to know that his insights helped you get even more from your visits to Stonehenge and Bath. One of the advantages of a private tour is the flexibility to make the most of the day, so we're pleased you were able to visit the beautiful Royal Crescent and enjoy a scenic drive back to London while avoiding the traffic. Those little extras often become some of the most memorable parts of the experience. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to David, who will be thrilled to know his knowledge and personal approach made such a positive impression. Thank you again for travelling with Tour Britannia. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure exploring Britain's history, countryside and hidden gems in the future. Best wishes, The Tour Britannia Team

Stonehenge Magic!
We got off the Norwegian star cruise and met with Chris who was communicating leading up to the disembarkation about the pick up point and time. It was early in the morning 6.30am…and the drive to Stonehedge was without traffic and we were able to stop for coffee on the way. We opted for the VIP experience which was totally worth it. It was a beautiful day and Chris gave us information along the way and took us right up to the stones and continued to be a knowledgeable and supportive guide …the whole morning an incredible experience at Stonehenge. Standing in the middle of the circle, there was a sensation of vertigo…mild head ache…. I wasn’t sure if that was due to the early morning disembarkation or something related to being in the Circle!…. either way it was a once- in-a-lifetime experience and will never be forgotten. The whole Experience was made very special by Chris. My kids (11 and 12 year olds) also speak about the day repeatedly and were moved by the history, the space and the magestic stones! Thank you Chris (and helen who arranged all the bookings!). We got dropped at our London Hotel (Lincoln suites, perfect venue and access to London wonders) .
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Tour Britannia for such a memorable start to your time in the UK. We're delighted that everything went smoothly from your cruise disembarkation, and that the early morning journey allowed you to enjoy a peaceful drive and a coffee before arriving at Stonehenge. The VIP Inner Circle Experience really is something special, and we're so pleased you felt it was worth it. Standing amongst the stones before the site opens to the public is an unforgettable moment, and it's fascinating to hear how it made you feel. Whether it was the early start or the unique atmosphere of the circle itself, it's certainly an experience that stays with you. It's wonderful to know that our guide helped make the day so memorable by sharing the history and stories of Stonehenge, and we're especially pleased that your children enjoyed it so much. Hearing that they're still talking about the experience is one of the greatest compliments we could receive. Inspiring younger travellers to appreciate Britain's history is something we always hope to achieve. We'll also be sure to pass your kind words on to Helen, who will be delighted to know that her planning helped everything run seamlessly from start to finish. Thank you once again for your thoughtful review. It was a pleasure to be part of your family's adventure, and we hope to welcome you back one day to explore more of Britain's incredible history and countryside. Best wishes, The Tour Britannia Team

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $985 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bath and Stonehenge From London - Private Luxury Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
