Tour Cancelled Last Minute
The tour company had transportation issues at the very last minute. Basically told us that the tour was no longer happening after we had been waiting an hour for driver to arrive at our hotel. They were apologetic and offered a full refund, hence the 2 stars instead of one. I wish they would have figured it out sooner and notified us the night before, instead of instructing us to wait outside hotel lobby 15 minutes before pick up time (laughable).
Response from the operator: You were not waiting for an hour, we informed you about the issue with plenty time before pick up time There was no reason for you to wait since we already informed you about the transportation issue. It's impossible to notify you a night before because the issue happened during the morning We understand that you are upset and that is why you left an exagerated review

Awesome tour guide and bad tour operator
5 stars to the tour guide and 2 star to the tour operator. The guide is very nice and professional. However, the operator notified us that we were going to visit different cenote 2 days before the tour. That is totally not the cenote we would like to visit, but we have no time to find another tour. Please confirm with the tour operator again right after receiving the voucher. The itinerary could be mismatched between the voucher and what your will have.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your comments, the tour was set for an specific cenote and we confirmed this in advance. It's always important to check the voucher and answer the reach outs of the operators

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
