Good trip but disappointed after sales follow up
The tour today was great. The guide Caesar was also very good but the company didn't respond to my privately reported issues for improvement. This after sales service was a bit disappointing. I think I should let others to be aware of those issues. There were two things we hope that I thought the company could improve : 1. The description of the tour was too brief. We had read many times that it didn't state we could swim in the lake. It just mentioned we can enjoy the water, which could have different meanings. As a result, we didn't bring along with our swimming suit. 2. I got the whatsapp message from the company just few days before the trip reminding us that we have to pay MXN450 to the guide but eventually the guide told us it should be USD25. If we pay by peso, the rate was 20, so we had to pay MXN500 each. I believed this was the company policy but for us it's a bit confusing. Both the message and the information in our booking stated clearly that it's MXN450 for each person. We felt quite confusing. I think it can be stated clearer.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your comment. We hope to see you back.

Bad agent experience. Used TripAdvisor/viator to have everything ready and it be stress free and it was not that way.
Our trip started out very stressful. The person in charge of arranging the van to pick us up made the reservation for 2 our tickets was for 3. All of this is fine, human error however the van had no space fir the 3 of us and we were left behind and asked to speak yo our agent. When i did this I was again asked to arrange myself for a taxi and get yo the meeting poi t in time. I got us a cab and then the entire way the agent kept pressuring me asking how much longer. I felt very stressed after I HAD to get our own transportation she kept texting and acted like she didn’t believe my answers. Mind you we did get a refund for the cab, the least they could do I felt that it was very unpleasant and stressful.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon Jorge We so sorry for the mistake. Our staff tried with the cell texts to you know where you were to coordinate the transporation with your taxi and you will take the tour. It was not a situation to have to compensate him financially for what happened, which was your wish. One more time our honest apologies for the inconnvenience. Kind regards

Beautiful Lagoon
It was a long trip from Playa del Carmen, but my son and I truly enjoyed the lagoon. While I could not find any tropical fishes there, I still enjoyed the beautiful lagoon.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon Tetsuya Thank you so much for your review, we are so happy you enjoyed the tour and de beatiful lagoon Regards

Amazing place a must see
My favorite tour so far We went in a very comfortable bus that had usb charging spot in every row of seats. Our guide was great very informative and nice. I ordered the chicken chilaquiles and ohm they were delicious. The cenote was beautiful. The beach club was nice (great place to relax). On our way back there was a protest in the street so we waited on the bus for 3 extra hours which made us get home around 12am. But hey not fault to the tour guide or driver Be ready to have a great time
Response from the operator: Good afternoon Thank you so much for your review. We are glad the tour was fine for you and you enjoyed the activities Best regards

Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum cost?
+
Prices start at $2900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 52 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bacalar Lagoon of 7 Colors from Playa del Carmen and Tulum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
