Lovely day with a local!
Good one on one time with a local of the area. Got to visit our guide's home, do some cooking and sit for a nice meal.

Great experience!
Ana was a thoughtful guide to Aveiro. She customized our tour based on our interests. We learned so much about the town and it's history. Lunch was nice and personable. More than anything, we appreciated the personal connection Ana gave us to Aveiro and Portugal!

Warm, personal visit with local resident
Great walking visit with local resident touring downtown Aveiro, then going to her home to cook chicken dish for lunch and drink local wine. Our hostess, Ana, was warm, friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. Great day trip. Allow lots of time. We allowed 5 hours; it could have gone on for a couple more easily.

Amazing walking tour of Aveiro with Cooking class & lunch
My daughter and I went on an amazing walking tour of Aveiro with our local guide Anna, who showed us Aveiro and told us all about it's rich history and were invited to her home for a hands-on cooking class and an amazing lunch with dessert afterwards. If you are curious about how the locals live and the types of food they eat, this is for you. If you have any curiosity on how to make a special Portuguese dish, be sure to ask. We made bacalhau a bras and it was spectacular! My daughter and I learned a lot about Aveiro and we made new friends. We will be sure to visit Aveiro again and probably take another cooking class with Anna and her son Diogo. They were such wonderful hosts, this was the highlight of our stop in Aveiro.
Response from the operator: Hi Daniel! Thank you so much for taking the time to right such a great input! It really touched me and I am very happy to know you have enjoyed your experience the most! We certainly hope to see you again in Aveiro and we will make sure to surprise you with other tasteful traditional dishes, next time!

Ana is an amazing hostess! She is kind and treated us very well. It was a great walk through the city with a local who really Knows the area. The food we all prepared at her house was delicious and her house is very nice. Her son, Diogo was also very kind and accepting of us as well.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests) cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests) take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests)?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Aveiro Private Cooking Experience (for vacation rental guests) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
