    So so

Very communicative company (5 stars for that) however the planning for hotel pickup didnt quite maie sense as they told everyone at the different hotels that they were getting picked up at the se time. Thus we waited for 40min beyond when we were instructed to be outside our hotel. Then, the van was extremely uncomfortable- we sat in front which was lucky in a way as there were rear facing seats others had to sit in and my husband gets car sick, butni was in the middle up front in a seat only large enough for children (had to twist my legs around to be able to fit, as the leg space is impinged with the shifting box). In the case that a Van has that front middle seat and is full, a bus is much nicer, where you are guaranteed a full sized seat. Finally, our tour guide was so so. He was nice, but a continuous stream of quiet speech with odd transitions made it both difficult at times to follow and as devoid of emotion as possible for such and emotional tour. Be sure to bring snacks as there is no time to get or eat lunch. Still, its a powerful place to visit, and even if the tour was very mediocre and the transportation exteemely uncomfortable, we still had a powerful experience. Just may have been better self guided and own transport, which would have also been a fraction of the cost (we paid close to $100 USD each)

    Unforgettable experience!!

An astounding, well-organised experience. Our driver, Arek, collected us at the time stated from our apartment, in a beautifully clean and comfortable mini bus, with air conditioning, and a comfort stop on the way. All communication via Whasapp from the organisers was clear, easy to understand, and so helpful. The visit experience was further enhanced by an excellent tour guide, Magritte, who took time to take us around Auschwitz. The organisation was top-notch from start to finish. A difficult experience for all visitors, as the reality sinks in during the tour, but so glad we went, and so glad we booked through this operator. Faultless organisation and a fantastic and valuable experience. Thank you!

    Highly recommended

The tour was outstanding. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about his work. As a Polish guide, he shared the history with great care and respect, helping us connect with the experience on a deeper level. A special thank you also to our driver, who was exceptionally kind and patient throughout the day. He made the journey comfortable and stress-free, and his positive attitude was greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a moving, well-organized, and memorable experience. Highly recommended.

Overall tour a definite- bus or van didn't matter

Pick up at the hotel was prompt. The van was a bit small for the number of passengers but every one was polite and courteous. We did get a stop at a gas station where we could get a drink or snack. You might want to ask driver ahead of time. That would have been nice to know. The tour by the museum guide was fantastic. We could hear very well on headphones and he walked at a comfortable pace. Would highly recommend tour. However taking larger bus at cheaper price would have probably been fine.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow cost?

    +

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 167 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow?

    +

Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Ticket & Transfer from Krakow start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
