An Intimate and Authentic Kyoto Experience

Our “One Piece” guided tour with Miyu was one of the highlights of our time in Japan! The kids loved the connection to their favorite anime series, and we parents loved exploring neighborhoods of Kyoto we would never have visited on our own. It was also great to be able to discuss cultural differences between our countries with Miyu. The whole tour felt like a very intimate and authentic Japanese experience. Thank you so much, Miyu, for your time!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! I'm truly happy to read your wonderful review. I had such a great time guiding your family! If you visit Japan again, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'd love to see you again!

    Perfect balance!

A perfect tour - an ideal mixture of stuff for the kids (One Piece) and the adults (temples and shrines.) Miyu was knowledgeable and engaging, and her English was excellent. The total tour length was about four hours. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Wow, thank you so much for the amazing review! I’m smiling from ear to ear reading this. 😊 I’m so happy that we found that "Perfect Mix" for your family! Balancing the history of our beautiful temples with the world of One Piece is my absolute favorite way to show off Kyoto, and I’m thrilled that both the kids and the adults had a blast. Also, thank you for the lovely compliment on my English! It means a lot to me. 💬✨ We managed to pack so much adventure into those four hours—time really flies when you're having fun with a great crew! Please give my best to the kids! I hope they’re still enjoying their One Piece treasures. You’re welcome back to join my crew for another tour anytime! 🍖🚢 Stay awesome and keep exploring! Best, Miyu

Awesome Kyoto Tour Within the Context of the One Piece World

Miyu was an amazing guide, showing us wonderful Kyoto highlights that also have connection to the One Piece universe. My kids, 7 and 10, had a great time, and we enjoyed visiting temples, shrines, and the bamboo forest, finishing off at a store selling a ton of One Piece merch. Miyu was kind and thoughtful, and kept the kids engaged.

Response from the operator: Hi Nicole! Thank you so much for the super kind review! Reading this totally made my day. 🌟 I had such a blast exploring Kyoto with you and your amazing kids! They were so energetic and fun to be around—I'm so glad they stayed engaged throughout our "treasure hunt" through the temples and the bamboo forest. 🎋 It was especially fun to geek out over the One Piece connections together! I hope they found some legendary loot at the merch store to take back home. 🍖🏴‍☠️ You have such a lovely family, and it was a true highlight for me to be your guide. Please tell the little Straw Hat pirates I said hello! Hope to see you guys again for another adventure in Kansai someday. Stay awesome! Best, Miyu

Traditional Kyoto with a sprinkle of One Piece!

This was such a fun experience! We got to see som very beautiful places of Kyoto and Miyu made sure we went to places where most people don't visit! So we had our own litte part of the bamboo forest where we got pictures for our wanted poster! We went to a pretty temple basically alone and seeing a Luffy drawing randomly on the wall in there was awesome! Probably my favourite part was the shrine in the middle with the characters names on! We even got to stop by the One Piece store! I loved everything about this and i know i wouldn't have seen this if I didn't come on this tour. Thank you Miyu for a great tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed our "off-the-beaten-path" adventure in Kyoto. Taking those "Wanted poster" photos in our private spot in the bamboo forest was such a highlight for me too! Finding that Luffy drawing at the temple really felt like fate, didn’t it? I’m glad we could nerd out over One Piece together and visit the store as well. It was a pleasure showing you around these special spots that most people miss. Hope to see you again on your next Grand Line adventure! Safe travels!

Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kyoto.

How much does Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo cost?

    +

Prices start at $5000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kyoto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kyoto is not rushed.

Is Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kyoto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kyoto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kyoto and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Anime Tour Kyoto: ONE PIECE & Arashiyama Bamboo start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kyoto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kyoto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kyoto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kyoto : Gion Make Your Own Chopsticks with Engraving Option, Award-Winning Authentic Ramen Making Experience in Kyoto, Hidden Kyoto E-Biking tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kyoto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kyoto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
