    Amazing Day on the Water

Our boat day with Valentine's Boat Rent was the true highlight of our honeymoon. Guiseppe and Alessandro were so amazing, knowledgeable, and kind. They made the trip special by having a honeymoon dessert and champagne for us upon arrival. We stopped for an amazing lunch at a local restaurant and also stopped multiple times to enjoy swimming in the water. The vibes were awesome and we had the best time. It was a great way to see many of the Amalfi towns by boat. Logistics and communication were also so easy. We hope to enjoy another boat day with them when we return to Italy!

    Trip of a Lifetime

Our trip with Nello down the Amalfi Coast was incredible. They made it very easy to meet the boat, the onboard drinks were a nice touch, and the views are incredible. There was also no itinerary per se, so we were able to stop in Amalfi and have lunch in Maiori. The boat itself was also very nice and comfortable. We got lots of good pictures and memories we will never forget.

Response from the operator: Thank you! We are very happy u enjoyed your boat day with us! Looking to see u next time on board

    Go with a different company.

I really wish we went with a different company. We had a bad experience and the boat company never took ownership for the mistakes they made. We stopped way to many times to “swim” clearly this was to save on gas. We asked to keep going but the request was ignored. Lunch was supposed to be at a specific restaurant, however, when the time came we were sent to a spot that they obviously get kickbacks from. It was terrible!! We couldn’t even eat the food. It was my only bad meal in Italy. It’s was very touristy and the least authentic spot. Also there was a cooler with drinks on the boat kept cool only by a frozen water bottle. The drinks were warm and we served ourselves. Serving ourselves isn’t a big deal but we felt like we were strangers on a boat. It was by no means a hospital feeling. These guys are booked all day everyday in summer so by no means are they seeking repeat costumers. All in all for the price you pay I would highly recommend going with a different company.

Response from the operator: Hi,i hope that review u made on July 16 /2023 was for another company and u made a mistake. Instead if it was for us : just want you to remember that you have been on August 2022! first of all I would like to congratulate you because you wrote a review a year after your trip so many things could be false or been forgotten! Second of all I wanted to remind you that I found a boat for you at the last minute in August 2022, to be kind , even there wasnt to much choice ,I gave u the possibility to go out! The boat was slowly going because it was a gozzo and not a speedboat Thats why you didn't paid a lot. Then if I'm not mistaken, Last year You wrote me after 2 days you were only complaining about the restaurant ( that you dont like it,) that food wasn't good! but not of the rest of the trip or the boat itself. now it seems that u are writing a lot of lies & giving despises on everything ! and for this I'm very disappointed. You had a great time and Everything went well until you went to eat at the restaurant,. And for this, even it wasn't my fault I made my apologies I explained that it was maybe full booked that's why maybe food was not good as usual. Now ,You are complaining that u stopped to swim 3/4 times to waste time? You supposed to rent a boat to swim and sightseeing and enjoy the breathtaking panoramas. Was august 22 and it was 45c I supposed that everyone else should pay an extra to have another fresh swimming in cristal waters.! as I already specified at the time the restaurants are always super full in high season, expecially in august and during the weekends, the services can be late also, they are mostly family running restaurant , and almost everyone appreciate them because of the freshness of the seafood . If you have had special needs or a Michelin-starred palate, please you should have the Captain know. Andrea was very accomodating and usually people appreciate him, He tried to be kind trying to find an accommodation for a restaurant, then as far as what happens at the restaurant we don't Know, Captain can suggest based on what other customers says, also he drove u to a nice spot overlooking the ocean near the kisses arch. (maybe the restaurant was too crowded, maybe the chef was sick ,so there was a replacement we cannot know! I can understand you didn't like but and I can accept your feedback to change restaurant suggestions, but what I don't understand is why If u didn't like it ,didn't complain with the restaurant at that moment? ,not paying the bill,or why you did not complained with the manager, instead of complaining with me.? When you were back on the boat the only think you said to the captain was tu turn back straight to Positano ,with no explanations! , There are enthusiastic customers who give 5 stars or dissatisfied customers who give 1 star food, enjoyment is personal!and this can happen also to starred Restaurant. As a latin proverb said "De gustibus no disputandum est"( it means that something that could be special for us could be not good for somebody else! One think I know For sure that I try to do always my best ,to give people pleasant day, and to be kind with all customers & trying to resolve problems & give suggestions for everything and people always appreciate that. You are complaining that beverages weren't iced We have a cooler and with 45 C under the sun beverages are fresh not ICED as u use in the states. We weren't in a hurry at all, in fact after lunch you should continue your journey but without saying a word you asked to the captain to drove u back without giving him a reason. . I always made myself available and apologized and answered to all your questions and did more, even though it wasn't my responsibility, I bought you a cake and left at the bar in Positano as a "present" to sweeten the situation, but you didn't even bother to go get it or answer to me. So, this is the truth, and i want people know it, and at this point I'm very disappointed with you. Because u are the kind of customers that isn't satisfied with anything.

    Amazing charter

Wonderful boat ride along the coast of Positano to Amalfi. A stop at Amalfi, amazing captain. Lovely Prosecco and Cake for our anniversary. Stopped for a swim around a cave. Amalfi dock had some medical emergency that kept our pick up for a while however that was not in the hand of the captain. Definitely would recommend. We got dropped off at hour hotel which picked us up in a dingy right outside the beach grounds. Fabulous day.

the ONLY way to see the Amalfi coast!

Beautiful boat from which to enjoy the amazing views and perfect waters. Our Captain, Anielo, was superb. Friendly, accommodating and skillful, he deftly navigated us to the best spots (and the best locations within those spots on a very busy day!), made reservations for our lunch at a great restaurant, and generally made us feel very special. Fantastic highlight of our entire trip!

Amalfi Coast by Boat: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.

How much does Amalfi Coast by Boat cost?

    +

Prices start at $900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amalfi Coast by Boat take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.

Is Amalfi Coast by Boat worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast by Boat?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amalfi Coast by Boat suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast by Boat?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amalfi Coast by Boat start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Positano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Positano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
