The Duomo is certainly the most famous monument, Arabic, Byzantine, Moorish and Baroque style, realized in the IX century and dedicated to the patron St. Andrew. The bronze facade portal where made in Constantinople in 1066 and dominate the main square with its staircase. Next to the Cathedral you will enter the charming Amalfi Chiostro del Paradiso, where the archbishop Capuano built the Cript to accommodate the remains of the St. Andrew Apostle. In the inn part of the town, called Valle dei Mulini, you can visit the paper museum, an old paper mill factory trasformed into a museum in 1969. 2. Ravello

After Amalfi we will continue our tour to Ravello situated on a small promontory called Cimbronium, a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and the villages of Minor and Maiori. Its beauty was immortalized by Boccaccio in “Decameron” and William Turner with his paintings that are now exposed to the Tate Gallery in London. In the centre of the town, on the right of the cathedral, a square tower marks the entrance to the Villa Rufolo, a complex of buildings of the second half of the’200, here you can admire the Richard Wagner terrace, so called because it inspired the garden of Klingsor, the second act of Parsifal, and today you can attend to the Ravello summer Festival. Walking to the top of the promontory you will find the majestic beauty of Villa Cimbrone, built on the foundations of an ancient villa Patrizia, which hosted sovereign and illustrious names of science and politics. In the late 800’s it was purchased by a distinguished English citizen Ernest William Beckett. In 1938 Greta Garbo and Leopold Stokowsky found here the secret of happiness after living the strong outcry of Hollywood. The most important point of the villa is the infinity terrace so called from Gore Vidal for his majestic opening above the horizon. in this beautiful little town you can decide to go for lunch in one of the amazing local restaurants or stop in one of the cafes of the main Piazza for an italian style aperitivo, a snack or a light lunch.

Most professional driving company on Amalfi

I set up multiple drives with Giuseppe. The communication was excellent. Immediate responses and everything confirmed up front. No surprises with payments or anything. They confirmed each drive the day before and always showed up early and waited for us. The cars were large, clean and air-conditioned!!! We always felt safe on the coastal winding roads. Anytime I return, I will always use this company because I know they are dependable and consistent. Our plane coming in was late and they were monitoring the flight. I cannot say enough! Thank you to Giuseppe, Alba, and the team! You guys did a great job!! 😘

    Magical

The very best ! all the drivers are absolutely wonderful, friendly and warm. They’re very knowledgeable of the areas that they’re taking you to and make it such a fun experience. Relax and sit back and let someone else drive you, so you can enjoy your time on the Amalfi coast. And no worries about making flights and getting picked up from airports or train stations. Very dependable !! Professional group PEACE Marianne

    Two great days with Giuseppe!

Had two terrific days with Giuseppe! First was a pickup in Naples with trips to Pompeii and a nearby winery/lunch, then on to the Amalfi Coast. Second was a drive down to Ravello to tour the beautiful gardens and other attractions. Giuseppe is a terrific guide, and a great host for our trip. Highly recommended.

Amalfi coast driving tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.

How much does Amalfi coast driving tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $490 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amalfi coast driving tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.

Is Amalfi coast driving tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi coast driving tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amalfi coast driving tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amalfi coast driving tour?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amalfi coast driving tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Positano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Positano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
