Voucher error
There was a discrepancy in the number included in our party on the voucher we were provided and the actual number I paid for. They were able to contact the company and get it cleared up but it decreased our overall allotted time we had at Windsor so we did t get the full value of the experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the discrepancy regarding the number of passengers shown on your Windsor Castle voucher and for the impact this had on the time you were able to spend at Windsor Castle. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this issue on the day, and no one contacted our office to let us know that there had been a delay while the discrepancy was being resolved. Had we been aware, we would certainly have done our best to allow you some additional time at Windsor so that you could fully enjoy your visit. We are truly sorry that this affected your overall experience. This review is the first time the matter has been brought to our attention, and we will now look into it further to understand what happened and how the discrepancy occurred. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies, and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Not enough time for Castle Tour, and driver made us all MOTION SICK.....terrible.
Our driver was a very jerky driver and swerved all over the place. Both my husband and I became VERY motion sick and could not really enjoy ourselves. With a different driver, I feel like the experience would have been better. Also, 2 hours is not enough time to explore Windsor Castle and it costs extra to stay longer so figure that into your expense.
Response from the operator: Thank you for leaving us a review. I am sorry to hear that you had a bumpy drive to Windsor Castle. We will look at the drivers tracker and CCTV camera in the vehicle and see what went wrong. The average time to see Windsor Castle is 2 hours. We do offer additional hours as some of our clients find more than two hours too much.

Windsor Castle - A Main Highlight of our Trip to London!
Touring the Castle Rooms getting information from the Castle Room Employees was the best part of the tour. Long ride but well worth the trip. Unfortunately St. George's Chapel was partly closed to the public because of the Garter Ceremony within two days. Driver was very accommodating with meeting our needs for wife's bathroom quick stop-off. Would have appreciated bit more information about areas passed on way to Windsor.

Trip to Windsor Castle
Very comfortable car and everything was on time. Lines were not too long to enter Castle and two hours was a satisfactory time limit. Having an advanced admission ticket helped. The only problem was the line to enter the Chapel, which we skipped. Enjoyed the gift shop where we bought gifts for family back home. Driver was efficient and pleasant.

Overpriced ride to Windsor
The driver did not talk with is at all on the drive to Windsor and only about football (during World Cup) on the drive back. The benefit is you get dropped off and picked up close to the gate. The Castle itself is fantastic. I felt like I overpaid for a ride. And you only get 2 hours unless you pay for more which does not leave much time to explore the town. I would definitely find another way to see Windsor.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on the service. As you have stated, this is a private vehicle service where we pick you up directly from your London accommodation and take you to Windsor Castle and then return you back once you complete your visit to Windsor Castle, this service includes the admission tickets to Windsor Castle. I'm sorry that you feel that you have overpaid. The service details are clearly specified in the product details. In most cases, two hours is more than sufficient that's why we provide the option to extend for an additional charge if required. I have checked who was your driver on the day. I was surprised that the conversation was not flowing as we generally get a lot of good feedback from our clients from the driver that drove you to Windsor Castle maybe he just was having a bad morning.

Why this scores 42
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle cost?
+
Prices start at $127 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Afternoon Trip London to Windsor Castle start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
