Super individual safari - Also possible with small children

Wildly Safaris - especially the owner Luke Beckmann, has prepared us an unforgettable day at Addo Elephant Park. He responded to all wishes and carried out the safari at our own pace. This was just great with our son (1.5 years)! Afterwards he even drove with us to the sand dunes and also "climbed/walked" up with us. It was an all-round successful excursion. Thank you Luke!

Response from the operator: Hi Tobi. Thank you so much for the great review. Im pleased to hear you all had a fantastic time. It was an absolute pleasure hosting you and the family. Hopefully I will see you all soon.

Highly recommend a tour with Luke…outstanding tour guide!

What an amazing day with Luke! He picked us up at the cruise port terminal and took us to Addo Elephant National Park. He is so experienced and was able to share so much knowledge about the animals, the national park and the whole area that made the entire experience even that much better. During our drive, we were able to see so many amazing animals. We’d definitely highly recommend Luke as your tour guide! When we come back to the area, we will absolutely book again with Luke. Communicating with Luke in advance was fantastic. He’s responsive and answered all our questions promptly. Pick up at the port was a breeze since he was waiting right there to start our tour. Thanks, Luke for the fun memories. We had a great day with you!

Response from the operator: Hi Carole. Thank you so much for the lovely review. It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you and Jim. I’m glad you guys had a great day and I’m definitely looking forward to the next time we all meet. Have an awesome time on the remainder of your travels. Chat soon.

Perfect Tourguide for the Addo Elephant National Park

After another tour operator cancelled a booked tour at short notice, we were extremely lucky to find a fantastic alternative with Luke from Wildly Africa. He picked us up from the ship in the morning as planned and gave us a unique day in Addo Elephant National Park. Luke was super friendly and knew the region and the park inside out. He knew exactly where to stop to see an animal spotted from a distance pass right in front of you a moment later. He was able to tell and explain everything we saw or asked and made our day a unique experience. He knew exactly how long we could stay in the evening to see as many animals as possible without being even a moment too late back to the ship. We can recommend this tour 100%.

Response from the operator: Hi Philipp. Thank you so much for the response and I’m really glad you both enjoyed your trip. We had fantastic sightings. All the best for the year and may we meet again. P.S It’s Wildly Safaris 😄

Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Port Elizabeth.

How much does Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $2400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Port Elizabeth usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Port Elizabeth is not rushed.

Is Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Port Elizabeth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Port Elizabeth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Port Elizabeth and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Addo Elephant National Park Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Port Elizabeth within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Port Elizabeth?

    +

On Outty we rank every Port Elizabeth experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale, Dolphin & Penguin Island Cruise, Addo Elephant Full Day Safari with a Traditional South African Braai (BBQ) Lunch, Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Full-Day Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Port Elizabeth?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Port Elizabeth?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
