    Great trip for animal sightings!

Great sightings of elephants, zebras, antelopes, warthogs and other animals. Van was comfortable but couldn’t hear our guide - he needed to use his microphone instead of only talking to the passenger in the front. Lunch and shopping was very good!

Response from the operator: Hi Linda -thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the great wildlife sightings and that you liked the lunch and shopping stop. We really appreciate your feedback about the guide—we’ll make sure to use the microphone more consistently so everyone can hear clearly on future tours. We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable safari soon!

    Met our expectations....

Met our expectations. Plenty of elephants. Vehicle does not allow enough passengers to obtain the best photo experience. Would be better to have an open vehicle. Not enough bathroom breaks. Lunch was fantastic.

Response from the operator: Hi James, Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted you enjoyed the elephants and that lunch was a highlight. Addo can be explored in all-season weather, and our closed, air-conditioned vehicle ensures a comfortable safari throughout. We appreciate your feedback on restroom stops and will continue improving the experience. Please stay in touch for more wildlife adventures as we do offer the traditional "big 5" open vehicle safaris and other South Africa tours. Best regards, Janina & the Into Tours Team

    Thanks Gary

For us it was kind of complicated to get a overview about the pick up station or the meeting points and the duration of the trip. But as soon as we booked it, the communication was quick und very good. At least our guide Gary (best man!) was a wonderful Tour Guide, gave us lots of very interesting informations and was just very friendly. He tried his absolutly best to create a unforgettable day for us! It was incredible!! Thanks Gary!

Response from the operator: Hi Jana, Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you had an incredible day and that Gary made it so memorable for you. We always aim to make communication easy, and it’s great to know it worked well once you booked. Your feedback means a lot, and we’ll be sure to share your compliments with Gary! Good tour with a few problems.

Overall, the tour was great. But there were a few negatives. Starting off, the connection was very disorganized. We met up right away, but the staff we met up with did not seem to know what to do. At one point we were told to wait in a spot only to be forgotten and we had to search again for someone with our tour company. Apparently some cars were not allowed back to the ship being blocked by security. Eventually that was cleared up. Second issue: We were expecting an open safari type vehicle. Instead we were put in a rented van not made for off road operations. Third issue: The shock absorbers always bottomed out on bumps, and the driver was driving pretty fast. So it was painful on the behind. Fourth problem: Alex, the tour guide, kept turning off the air conditioning, because he did not want us getting cold. But most people had jackets if needed, and in the back, we had no air current when he turned it off. He had an open window giving him plenty of air. So we were always yelling for him to turn it on. Most of the time, he could not hear us. Fifth problem: Our guide Alex knew nothing about birds and he would just drive on even when we had some interesting bird sightings. He seemed interested only in big mammals. But overall, the tour was good because Alex did guide us to elephants, warthogs, zebras, ostriches, meerkats, water buffalo, and antelope species like Kudus, Nyala, Eland and Roan. His commentary about the animals was good and he had good rapport with all the tourists, lots of joking and sharing about his culture. It was a bit informal and unprofessional for me, but others enjoyed it.

Perfect excursion for cruise ship passangers!

The Addo Elephant Park All-Inclusive Day Safari from Port Elizabeth was an absolute blast! I had such a great time seeing all sorts of animals—elephants, birds, zebras, you name it. The pickup was right on time, which I appreciated, and our guide, Gary, was just fantastic. Gary really knew his stuff and was super passionate about the park and its wildlife. He shared all sorts of cool facts about the animals' behaviors and the park itself. It was obvious he loved his job, and his enthusiasm rubbed off on all of us. The best part was definitely getting up close and personal with the animals. We saw so many elephants—it was incredible! And the birds were stunning, too. Plus, spotting zebras roaming around was a real treat. What made the experience even better was Gary's down-to-earth approach. He didn't just give us a bunch of facts; he really helped us connect with the environment and appreciate the beauty of it all. It was a reminder of how important it is to take care of our planet and its inhabitants. Overall, if you're looking for a fun and genuine wildlife adventure, I highly recommend the Addo Elephant Park Day Safari. With efficient pickup, a passionate guide like Gary, and incredible animal sightings, it's an experience you won't soon forget.

Response from the operator: Hi Frank, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a memorable day at Addo Elephant Park. Gary will be delighted to hear your kind words—he truly loves sharing his passion for wildlife and the park with our guests. It’s fantastic that you enjoyed the close encounters with elephants, zebras, and the birds, and that the safari helped you connect with the environment. We hope the experience left lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for South Africa’s incredible wildlife. We’d love to welcome you back on another Into Tours adventure soon! Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Port Elizabeth.

How much does Addo Elephant Park All-Inclusive Day Safari from Port Elizabeth cost?

    +

Prices start at $3150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Port Elizabeth usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Addo Elephant Park All-Inclusive Day Safari from Port Elizabeth take?

    +

Is Addo Elephant Park All-Inclusive Day Safari from Port Elizabeth worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Port Elizabeth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Addo Elephant Park All-Inclusive Day Safari from Port Elizabeth?

Is Addo Elephant Park All-Inclusive Day Safari from Port Elizabeth suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Addo Elephant Park All-Inclusive Day Safari from Port Elizabeth?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Port Elizabeth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Port Elizabeth and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Port Elizabeth?

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Port Elizabeth?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Port Elizabeth?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
