A wonderful experience!!...
A wonderful experience!! We were accompanied by a truly knowledgeable guide who was very attentive to all our needs. He regularly checked on us, asking from time to time whether we needed restroom breaks, to stretch our legs, have some water, coffee, or lunch. I highly recommend this experience because it made it much easier for me to spot even the most hidden animals, and I received a lot of information about their habits.

Wonderful small-family-experience
We had a great time with our guide Graeme. He was so considerate of our situation with a small child. I recommend all families with young children to take a private tour because it offers much more flexibility and allows them to cater to the child's needs.
Response from the operator: Dear Sebastian, I recall our day with fond memories and would like to thank you for the kind words and review on Trip Advisor. We had many interesting sightings and saw numerous different species in the biodiverse habitats. IIt was a great pleasure to have been your guide and I am so glad that you enjoyed the experience with Alan Tours. Kind regards,Graeme

You Have To Go With Alan Tours
What a way to spend our Christmas Day. Graham picked us up bright and early and we were soon entering the safari and it didn’t disappoint. We opted for a private tour and we were so glad we did. Having Alan’s expertise and enthusiasm to ourselves all day made the trip. The animals showing themselves, the sheer vastness of the park and Graham himself were all highlights. We couldn’t have wished for more. Alan Tours were great to deal with. Informative and attentive we urge you to try them out. With luck you might be paired with Graham. Five Stars! And then some.
Response from the operator: Greetings Grizzly and many thanks for the great Trip Advisor review. It is most appreciated super to hear that the entire experience was a memorable one. I recall a most interesting Christmas Day with great conversation and sightings all round. The elephants were not shy and I am so glad to hear that your group had an enjoyable experience with us in this unique and biodiverse environment. Thanks so much for the kind words and it would be great to accompany you on another adventure should the opportunity present in the future. Best wishes, Graeme

Family day trip to Addo
We had a full day tour of Addo Elephant Park with Graeme today. The weather was quite hot and Graeme provided us with welcome bottles of water. He also had blankets in case we got cold at any stage. We saw a wide variety of birds and animals in the park today, such as jackals, mongeese, Burchalls zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, kudus, bonteboks, water buffalos, a leopard tortoise, vervet monkeys, many elephants, common buzzards, pied crows, spoonbills, herons and many more. Graeme was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He made it a really enjoyable day. I'd recommend Alan's Tours (particularly Graeme) for Addo safaris.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Port Elizabeth.
How much does Addo Elephant National Park from Port Elizabeth - FD01 cost?

How long does Addo Elephant National Park from Port Elizabeth - FD01 take?
+

Is Addo Elephant National Park from Port Elizabeth - FD01 worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 91 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Port Elizabeth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Addo Elephant National Park from Port Elizabeth - FD01?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Addo Elephant National Park from Port Elizabeth - FD01 suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Addo Elephant National Park from Port Elizabeth - FD01?
+
Around 32 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Port Elizabeth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Port Elizabeth and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Addo Elephant National Park from Port Elizabeth - FD01 start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Port Elizabeth within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Port Elizabeth?
+
On Outty we rank every Port Elizabeth experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale, Dolphin & Penguin Island Cruise, Addo Elephant Full Day Safari with a Traditional South African Braai (BBQ) Lunch, Addo Elephant National Park All Inclusive Full-Day Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Port Elizabeth?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Port Elizabeth?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
