Fantastic Tour!!

It was a great experience at the Azulejos de Azeitão, the fish market, and sight seeing around Setúbal. We had fresh cuisine at a local restaurant, restaurant Alinote, and really loved our tour guide. Fantastic tour!!

    Fish & Tile Tour

We took this tour because my husband was interested in the fishing culture. Our guide, Paulo, was fantastic. He took us to a fortification and then to lunch, which was at a local restaurant that we would never have found on our own. The food was fantastic. We also visited the beautiful, colorful marina. After this, he took us to a tile factory and watched the artists hand paint traditional and beautiful tiles. Of course, we came home with some of these tiles. This company has great customer service. My husband lost something, and they found it and delivered it to our hotel. This tour was fantastic.

Paulo is fantastic and the tour to Setabul with lunch fabulous

We would like to make a special comment about Paulo and the tour we did on Saturday 6th October. In one word fabulous! He is a real asset to this company. He listened to what we liked and tailored the tour to fit. We went to Setabul as planned stopping on the way at a local tile factory. We really enjoyed that as well as the local Fish Markets and beach tour. The stop for lunch was fabulous. " Cafe do Jacques" Another local experience and the food fantastic. We stopped on the way home to buy some local product which we showed interest in. We especially wanted a traditional Portugese dinner experience and Paulo suggested the family Restaurant "Adega Dom Luis", which was an absolutely wonderful food delight and local experience. We will definately go again. On our arrival at home we will be highly recommending this company, especially any tour with Paulo Levy and to all our Friends plus the tour company we travelled with. You can't go wrong do it !! Sent from Samsung tablet.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review! The "Cafe do Jacques" or Caracol is one of the simpler, but best places to eat fish (or anything else that swims or crawl in the ocean). And being in the Setúbal region, it´s also a nice "escape" from Lisbon. :-) Also the "Livramento" Market was elected as one of the best fish markets of the world. Our Portugal is small, but still have some genuine simple "secrets" to be discovered. In this way you can always see and eat something different and more "original", away form the usual tourism places. Warmest Regards, João Dickmann

Five of us from the U.S. took this...

Five of us from the U.S. took this day trip with Paolo, our gregarious well-informed guild. At Fonte da Telha Beach, which is renowned for it's beautiful white sand coastline, we were introduced to several fishermen and invited into one fisherman's shack. We saw buckets of fish being salted and lines of fish drying, typical of what you would see in Portuguese markets. While we were there, a boat came in, and we watched as fish were unloaded and sold.

We drove to Setubal, a colorful seaside village, enjoyed going to the fish market and had a lovely lunch with Paolo at a typical outdoor family-run restaurant. The drive was beautiful and we were able to stop at a tile factory and have a demonstration of tile-making.

Great day and terrific guide. We recommend it.

A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does A Day of Tastes, Views & Heritage, tour from Lisbon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
