We booked expecting a...
We booked expecting a cultural Lisbon wine and Fado experience, but were taken to an Italian restaurant instead. Only 3 wines served (not 4), with no local insight or engagement from the host, who left after 30 minutes. The food was Italian, not Portuguese. Lovely restaurant staff, but overall the experience was disappointing and not as advertised.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations and would like to clarify a few points. The venue is indeed an Italian restaurant, and we never advertised a traditional Portuguese Fado house. This tour does not include Portuguese food, as it was not part of the experience description. If you are interested in discovering Portuguese cuisine, we recommend our Tapas Food Tour, which we believe would better match your expectations. We truly regret that the experience did not align with your personal expectations, but we appreciate your feedback and will continue working to ensure clarity and satisfaction for all our guests. Warm regards, Discover Lison Team

Highly Recommended Tour with Jade Monteiro
I really enjoyed my tour with Jade. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Sintra and the places I visited. I enjoyed my tour of Sintra more because Jade was able to throughly explain to me the history of the city and Quinta da Regaleira. While I could have gone by myself to visit Sintra, I wouldn’t have enjoyed it without having Jade’s guided tour. He was a very welcoming and personable person. I highly recommend doing the Sintra tour with Jade!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! Nothing makes us happier than a satisfied discoverer! We are happy to hear that our tour guide gave you an amazing experience. We hope to be given the opportunity to see you again in beautiful Lisbon and help you discover it even more! :)

Amazing Sintra tour
My friend and I were visiting Portugal for vacation. We signed up for the Sintra tour through recommendations through our hostel. I’m extremely glad that we did. Joe was our tour guide and he was not only thorough with the facts and history of beautiful Sintra, but made the trip even more fun with his personality. It was never once boring. I will say that the tour is a half day trip and there is a lot of walking, so that’s something to keep in mind. Thankfully, Joe gave us as many breaks as we needed! I highly recommend asking for Joe is possible!

Super worthwhile
With a small tour group the tour was really personable and fun. Joano was a great guide and he made sure that myself and the others were enjoying the tour and left with no unanswered questions.

Genuine and well done! (With Silvio Pozza)
I had the pleasure to experience Sintra with Silvio. We were a small group of 3 people which made the communication/asking questions quite easy. Right after introducing himself and us doing the same he showed a lot of interest in our origin and well being. During the time we spent on the train to Sintra (30 minutes) I was able to share my experiences of Portugal/Spain etc. with him and it really felt like talking to a friend you already knew. He was open for any type of questions so you didn't experience this awkward silence you sometimes have during a tour etc. In Sintra he was able to tell you almost everything about the place even though he does like 6 other tours at the same time! In conclusion we had a really nice time in Sintra with Silvio and I would totally recommend it to you if you are into visiting a new place with someone who might not know the date of XY but can tell you basically everything you want to know. A quick thanks to him on my behalf, its Hannes. (Ich hoffe du machst weiter mit der gleichen Motivation und Engagement!) He will understand ;) Only downpoint: The price! I talked to people in my hostel who did a full day tour (Quinta da Regaleira and Cabo da Roca) for 32€.
Response from the operator: Hello Hannes, hope you are doing well! Thank you so much for your feedback, we are really glad that you enjoyed so much the tour and that you had such a great time with Silvio! We are happy that we were able to improve your stay in Lisbon. Regarding the price, we offer much more then a visit to Sintra, as we go inside Quinta da Regaleira and we offer also a typical tapestry from the Vila of Sintra. To all of this we add, of course, the visit to the Vila itself. We really hope we see you again in Lisbon and that you do a tour with us and with Silvio! Kind regards,

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does A Taste of Lisbon: Wine Tasting Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
