I’m happy to give them a well-deserved five-star rating

As a locally owned company, Kilisa Tours & Safaris brings an authentic touch to the entire experience. Their deep knowledge of the mountain, culture, and environment really shows in the way they operate, making the journey feel both personal and professionally managed. The guides were highly experienced, attentive, and genuinely committed to safety and success. Daily health checks, clear briefings, and constant encouragement—especially during the summit push—made a huge difference. The support crew was equally impressive, with well-organized camps, fresh and well-prepared meals, and seamless logistics throughout. Every detail was handled with care, creating a comfortable and enjoyable trekking experience. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a powerful adventure, and choosing a strong local operator like Kilisa Tours & Safaris made it even more meaningful and unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your climb on Mount Kilimanjaro with Kilisa Tours & Safaris. It is encouraging to hear that the balance between professional expedition management and authentic local expertise was evident throughout your journey. On high-altitude treks in Tanzania, consistency in operations—ranging from structured pre-climb briefings to disciplined daily health monitoring—plays a critical role in both safety outcomes and summit success rates. We are particularly pleased that the guiding team’s experience and attentiveness contributed positively during the ascent phase. The Kilimanjaro summit push demands precise pacing, risk awareness, and continuous client support, and these are areas where strong field leadership makes a measurable difference. Your mention of camp organization, meal quality, and logistics reflects the operational standards we aim to maintain across all Kilimanjaro trekking routes, where efficiency and comfort must be carefully balanced with mountain conditions. We appreciate your recommendation and the recognition of Kilisa Tours & Safaris as a reliable local operator for Kilimanjaro climbing experiences. Feedback like this strengthens our visibility for travelers searching for trusted Kilimanjaro trekking specialists and reinforces our commitment to safe, well-managed, and memorable expeditions in Tanzania. Regards Sophia

100% Perfection in Planning and Execution

We have done safaris in other places but I can attest that a safari to Serengeti feels different. From the beautiful landscapes of the endless plains filled with wildebeests, zebras, antelopes and the horde of carnivorous beasts led by the many lion prides on the fringes of the herds, hyenas, cheetahs that are no longer shy but come right onto the 4x4, buffalo herds, elephants, giraffes..... It is a magical land. Our guide Booker was awesome he's the main reason behind our joy and satisfaction from the trip. We were pleasantly surprised by the top quality of the lodges and tented camp that we stayed in. We had gone for the middle level accommodations but they were more like luxury lodges. I owe lots of appreciation to Naick the owner Kilisa Tours and Safaris because the actual experience delivered exceeded the promised/expected experience in all ways. The vehicle was comfortable and had great suspension, the wide view windows made sure that we had views on all the sides. The roof had a pop up sunroof that we would use to view the interesting sections. The AC worked well, the mini fridge, recharging ports..... it was a really beautiful experience that we give 100%

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for giving us a 100% rating and sharing such an incredibly descriptive review! We completely agree—there is a unique magic to standing in the endless plains of Serengeti National Park surrounded by lion prides, cheetahs, immense herds of wildebeests, and vibrant wildlife Naick and the entire team work exceptionally hard to ensure that the actual experience delivered far exceeds expectations. We are proud to hear that you found our Tanzania mid-range safari accommodations comparable to luxury standards, providing top-quality comfort throughout your stay We will certainly pass your massive appreciation along to Booker! Our driver-guides are passionate about bringing the wild closer to you. We are also thrilled that you loved our safari vehicle. Keeping our 4x4 trucks equipped with smooth suspension, wide-view windows, an AC, a mini-fridge, and a pop-up sunroof is exactly how we guarantee premium wildlife viewing. Thank you for choosing Kilisa Tours and Safaris. We look forward to welcoming you back to East Africa for your next dream adventure

really great adventure

Sabas was an amazing guide and Adam a really good chef. The trip could not have gone better, Sabas explained everything really good and we had 6 great days together :) The safari itself was taking place in a nice and clean Toyota Landcruiser, which had no problems at all. You'll really get close to those Lions, like 1 meter from the car or even sitting next to the car.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your Tanzania safari could not have gone better and that you enjoyed 6 wonderful days exploring the wild with us. We will gladly pass your kind words along to Sabas and Adam! Our professional driver-guides take great pride in sharing deep knowledge of the wildlife, and our talented chefs work hard to ensure the food is always a highlight of the trip. We also place a massive priority on safety and comfort, which is why we maintain a clean and reliable fleet of 4x4 Toyota Landcruisers to ensure seamless navigation through the parks—getting you safely up close to those incredible lions! Whether travelers are looking for an immersive 6-Day Camping Safari or a premium 6-Day Luxury Safari, we strive to make every journey unforgettable. Thank you for choosing Kilisa Tours, and we hope to welcome you back for another epic wildlife adventure in the future!

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moshi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
