About this experience
Lake Manyara is a good soft introduction to the safari experience. It is a magical and pretty park that winds its way around a mainly forested driving route between the banks of soda water lake and the impressive rise of the Great Rift escarpment. The Serengeti National Park is justifiably famous for its huge concentrations of wildlife, especially the big cats, as well as being the stomping ground of the Great Migration, a massive accumulation of 1.5 million wildebeest, The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 sq. km with sides up to 600m deep. It is home to as many as 20,000 to 30,000 wild animals at any given time. The last national park on your itinerary is the Tarangire National Park, The park also offers stunning scenery with its baobab-dotted landscape and presents a breath-taking concentration of elephants during the dry season.

7 days safari tour
The 7-day safari was just as incredible. We saw all of the Big Five and experienced all the wildlife action we could have hoped for. Our driver, Denise, knows the parks inside out—he got us into the absolute best positions for photography while respecting park guidelines. On a final note, we had a last-minute payment confusion when a group member had to pull out. Kilisa Tours handled it with total honesty and integrity, refunding the full deposit without any hassle. We really appreciated their fairness and customer care. Highly recommend Kilisa Tours to anyone heading to Tanzania!

An Outstanding Local Operator for Safari & Kilimanjaro Adventures
We booked our Tanzania trip with Kilisa Tours & Safari, a local Moshi-based company, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Communication before our trip was quick and clear, which immediately gave us confidence we'd chosen the right operator. Throughout our journey, we were impressed by how well-organized everything was — comfortable 4x4 vehicles, well-maintained camping and lodge accommodations, and delicious meals at every stop. Our driver-guide was not only highly experienced in wildlife spotting but also incredibly patient and attentive to our group's needs, making sure everyone felt safe and included at every stage. What really sets Kilisa Tours & Safari apart is their genuine local expertise and personal touch — something you don't always get with larger international operators. Every detail, from park permits to airport transfers, was handled seamlessly, letting us fully relax and enjoy the experience. Whether you're planning a luxury Tanzania safari, a Kilimanjaro climb, or a cultural day tour near Moshi, I highly recommend Kilisa Tours & Safari. Professional, reliable, and truly passionate about sharing authentic Tanzania with their guests.

I highly recommend
My family is very pleased with our trip to Tanzania as it was all we had expected and much more. To start with Naick made it very easy and smooth to book with them, also very attentive to our needs and worked extra hard to squeeze all the place we wanted without compromising on the level of comfort. We still enjoyed a private trip with our exclusive vehicle and driver/guide Musa. We saw numerous animals including the great wildebeest migration with the big cats following in the fringes, many elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, different types of antelopes....... and lots of different bird species. The experience of sleeping under canvas in the middle of the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro was so exciting and fun. The places had great food and surprisingly cozy.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful review of your family vacation! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your trip to Tanzania exceeded all of your expectations and provided such wonderful memories. Naick takes great pride in tailoring our custom itineraries to perfectly balance our guests' wish lists with maximum comfort, so it is fantastic to know the booking process was smooth and attentive. We are also incredibly proud of Musa—having an exclusive vehicle and an expert guide makes all the difference when tracking wildlife, and it sounds like he did a spectacular job helping you witness the great wildebeest migration, the big cats, and so many other incredible species. There is nothing quite like the magic of sleeping under canvas in the heart of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and we are glad you found the tented camps both exciting and surprisingly cozy with great food! Thank you for choosing Kilisa Tours & Safaris for your family adventure. We would love to welcome you all back to East Africa for another unforgettable journey in the future!

Awesome Safari Experience
We only left Tanzania because we had to, but we left a piece of our souls back there and must return to reclaim the magical experience. We explored 4 parks with Musa, our guide and they were unique in their own special way. Our guide Musa made the trip all the better, he knew where we were likely to get close encounters with wildlife and also took us to some awesome secluded picnic sites that were mind blowing. The allure of Serengeti and Ngorongoro is unmatched by any other safari experience on the planet. The firsthand experience of the great wildebeest migration is like anything else I have ever seen, and it does not get boring despite the repetitive moos of the animals as the graze on the endless Serengeti plains. Lodgings were top grade and were perfect places of rest. I could go on and on about the experience because it still lingers in my mind one month later.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this beautiful and deeply moving review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your travel memories are still so vivid a month later. There is truly an unmatched allure to exploring the majestic landscape of Serengeti National Park and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Witnessing the firsthand magic of the endless plains and tracking the Serengeti wildebeest migration safari is an experience that stays with you forever. We will be sure to pass your wonderful compliments along to Musa! Our driver-guides take immense pride in knowing the best routes for close wildlife encounters and finding those hidden, mind-blowing picnic spots that make a private trip so unique. It is also fantastic to hear that your top-grade lodgings provided the perfect places of rest after your days of exploration. Whenever you are ready to return to East Africa to reclaim that piece of your soul, Kilisa Tours & Safaris will be here to welcome you.

Action and Adventure Packed Safari
We had an incredible time in Tanzania on this tour with Jacob. We had worked together with Naick to craft this itinerary and it did not disappoint. It was packed with fun and enjoyable activities of our choice, mainly the game drives in all the parks that we visited. We were very impressed by Jacob’s outstanding guiding skills. He was conversant with the parks and took us to through the routes that had lots of game. It was awesome to follow the migration for the three days, seeing the lions, cheetahs and other carnivores tag along the huge wildebeest and zebra herds. We also did a hot air balloon ride over Serengeti and it was incredible. Another interesting activity was the walking safari along the Ngorongoro Crater rim from our lodge. It was surreal to see giraffes, buffaloes and elephants while on foot. Jacob went out his way to give us a wonderful trip and we owe him our appreciation for being so wonderful. Kilisa Tours and Safaris is an ideal host for safari trips in Tanzania. I understand that they also organize Kilimanjaro trekking trips too.

6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater cost?
+
Prices start at $3750 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is 6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6 days safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Kilimanjaro climb by Lemosho Route (7-day), Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
