Umbwe route to Kilimanjaro

We’re so happy we chose Nafika for our Kilimanjaro climb. Everything was superbly organised, with Swiss-level punctuality, and the guides were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely made every day of the trek a pleasure. Their singing during the final summit push kept us motivated when we needed it most, and it will stay with us forever. A huge thank you to our guides, Justin and Frenki "Meru", for leading us safely to the summit, to Elias for the outstanding organisation, to Jonas for some of the best food we've ever had on a trek, and to all the porters for carrying everything up the steep Umbwe Route. Your hard work and positive attitude made this adventure possible. Two tips if you're planning to climb Kilimanjaro: The portable toilet that Nafika provides is absolutely worth it. Trust us—you'll understand why once you're on the mountain. (Not every company provides one.) If you're fitter than expected and descend earlier than planned, be aware that the extra hotel night in Moshi is not included in the package, as it replaces a night you would otherwise have spent on the mountain. If you descent earlier go and experience Moshi for a true glimpse of what is life looking like in this part of the world. Thank you, Nafika, for an unforgettable adventure. We couldn't have asked for a better team!

Incredible experience and 100 percent summit success

I had a truly wonderful experience with Nafika Tours — without a doubt, the best tour I’ve ever had. I began the hike straight from the airport and successfully made it to the summit, all thanks to the incredible support from our amazing guides: Walter, Meshak, and Efata. They genuinely cared for every single person in the group and went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, motivated, and well taken care of throughout the journey. A special shoutout to Patrick, Saidee, and the rest of the porters — they were my absolute favorites. Such hardworking, kind, and inspiring individuals who made the experience even more meaningful. The meals prepared by Chef Anotti were consistently delicious and nourishing, giving us the energy we needed each day. Every detail was thoughtfully handled. I’m proud to say we had a 100% summit success rate — all 7 of us made it to the top! Thanks to the professional guides and dedicated summit porters, we not only reached the summit but also created unforgettable memories at every camp along the way. And that’s what truly matters — the experience. I would gladly recommend this outstanding local company to anyone planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. If you’re interested, you can contact Elias via WhatsApp or Instagram — he responds promptly and professionally to all inquiries.

Response from the operator: Hello Nurus Thank you so much for this incredible and detailed review! We are truly honored to hear that your climb of Mount Kilimanjaro was such a wonderful experience and that you achieved a 100% summit success — that’s amazing, congratulations to you all! It means a lot to us that you felt supported from the very beginning, even starting your journey straight from the airport. Walter, Meshak, and Efata will be so happy to hear your kind words — their care and dedication to every climber is something we’re very proud of. We also deeply appreciate your recognition of Patrick, Saidee, and the entire porter team. They are truly the heart of every climb, and your words will mean so much to them. Chef Anotti will be delighted to know you enjoyed the meals — keeping everyone well nourished is a big part of a successful trek! Thank you for recommending Nafika Tours and for highlighting the experience beyond just the summit — those shared moments along the journey are what make it truly special. It was a pleasure to be part of your adventure, and we would love to welcome you back again in the future! Warm regards, Elias & the Nafika Tours Team

Unforgettable experience

Amazing experience with Nafika tours on December 2025, I would give more stars if I could. Very professional team, trying to make this already hard accomplishment easier for us. We chose the six night package from Lemosho route because it is the one with the highest success rate, still hard if you ask me but the guys made it as pleasant as possible for us. We were lucky because it was just me and my friend so we had very personalised care. I know all tour operators give similar services but we vibed very well with our guides Meshak and Diclan, with our very talented cook Priver, proving some of the most delicious soups we ve ever had in our life, with our lovely waiter Jackson, and with porters Rizick, Erick, Robert, Fashil and special thanks to porter Joachim who came with us to the summit as an extra person in case we need anything! Kilimanjaro is amazing experience by itself, with Nafika it will just be unforgettable 🫶🏻

Response from the operator: Jambo Rafiki, Thank you so much for this beautiful review — it truly means a lot to all of us! We’re so happy to hear that your 6-night Lemosho Route climb on Mount Kilimanjaro was such a special and unforgettable experience. It’s wonderful that you felt well supported and enjoyed the personalized care throughout your journey. Your kind words about Meshak, Diclan, Priver, Jackson, and the entire porter team will mean so much to them — they work incredibly hard to create exactly this kind of experience. We’re especially glad you enjoyed the meals and the strong team spirit along the way. Thank you for trusting Nafika Tours and for your recommendation. We’re truly grateful to have been part of your adventure, and we hope to welcome you again in the future! Warm regards, Elias & the Nafika Tours Team

Excellent experience!!

My Kilimanjaro tour with Nafika Tours was perfect… The guides (Innocent and Ephata) were very experienced, the porters helped a lot, everyone was so responsible and caring. Our chief (Priver) cooked very delicious food everyday, and he really knows Asians’ taste. We summited the Uhuru Peak successfully and it could not be achieved without this incredible team. Sincere thanks and hope everyone is doing great!

Response from the operator: Dear Chen, Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! We’re truly delighted to hear that your climb of Mount Kilimanjaro was such a perfect experience and that you successfully reached Uhuru Peak — congratulations! Your appreciation for Innocent, Ephata, and the entire team means a lot to us. We’re especially happy to hear that you felt well cared for throughout the journey. We’ll also be sure to pass your compliments to Chef Priver — he’ll be so glad you enjoyed the meals! Thank you for choosing Nafika Tours and for your kind words. It was a pleasure to be part of your adventure, and we hope to welcome you again in the future! Warm regards, Elias & the Nafika Tours Team

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.

How much does 6 Days Climb Private Tour in Mount Kilimanjaro cost?

+

Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 6 Days Climb Private Tour in Mount Kilimanjaro take?

+

Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.

Is 6 Days Climb Private Tour in Mount Kilimanjaro worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Days Climb Private Tour in Mount Kilimanjaro?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 6 Days Climb Private Tour in Mount Kilimanjaro suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 144-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 6 Days Climb Private Tour in Mount Kilimanjaro?

+

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 6 Days Climb Private Tour in Mount Kilimanjaro start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Moshi?

+

On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Kilimanjaro climb by Lemosho Route (7-day), Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moshi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
