Creating lasting memories
Our Tanzania safari exceeded every expectation, and a huge part of that came down to our guides, Johny Agre and Eric. From the first day, showed genuine care for our family especially that one of us had a disability. They made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, and treated us less like clients and more like people they truly wanted to take care of. Their knowledge of the wildlife and terrain was outstanding. They spotted animals and showed great skills and patiance reaching them , explained behavior and ecology with real depth, and answered every question with patience and enthusiasm. Professionalism was evident in every detail: punctual, well organized, and always thinking a step ahead to make each game drive smoother and more rewarding. Johny Agre and Eric turned a great trip into an unforgettable one. Highly recommend working with them. We started out as a group and guides and ended up as friends. To The A team : Johny Mr. Calm-attitude, Hakuna matata Agre Mr. Leadership and communication. Eric Mr. Knowldge and photography. Thank you from all of us.
Response from the operator: Dear Danny, Thank you so much for this incredible review. This one means a lot to me personally. 🙏❤️ I’m especially proud to read how Johny, Agrey, and Eric took care of your family. Making sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, included, and genuinely cared for is exactly the standard we want at Wakali Safaris. The fact that you started the journey as guests and guides and finished it as friends says more than any rating ever could. 🇹🇿🦁 I also loved your descriptions of the A-Team 😄: Johnny with the calm Hakuna Matata attitude, Agrey with the leadership and communication, and Eric with the knowledge and photography. I’ll definitely make sure all three of them see this! On a personal note, Danny, I’m really glad we had the opportunity to sit down and talk toward the end of your trip. I genuinely enjoyed our conversation, and some of the life advice you shared with me has stayed with me. Sometimes this business gives us much more than clients, it introduces us to people we are genuinely grateful to have met. Thank you for trusting us with your family, for your kindness throughout the journey, and for taking the time to recognize the team in such a meaningful way. You came to Tanzania as our guests, but you certainly left as our friends. ❤️ Asante sana, Danny, to you and the whole family. Until we meet again! Warm regards, Jonathan Wakali Safaris 🐾

Adventure of a lifetime
Everything about this trip was absolutely amazing! The people our guides, the beautiful animals and safari life. An experience our family remembers for life.
Response from the operator: Dear Maytal, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! ❤️🌍 It was such a pleasure having you and your family with us in Tanzania. Knowing that this became an adventure your family will remember for life is one of the best compliments we could receive. We’re so happy that you enjoyed not only the incredible wildlife and safari experience, but also the people you met along the way. Johny, Agrey, and Eric really enjoyed sharing Tanzania with your family, and it means a lot to know that their care and enthusiasm contributed to making the journey so special. 🦁🐘 Your family was a wonderful group to host, and by the end of the trip it genuinely felt like we were saying goodbye to friends rather than guests. ❤️ Thank you, Maytal, for choosing Wakali Safaris and for trusting us with such an important family experience. We hope these memories stay with all of you for many years and hopefully Tanzania will call you back again someday! 🇹🇿 Asante sana to you and the whole family! Warm regards, Jonathan Wakali Safaris 🐾

Family holiday we will never forget!
We were a family of 15 and spent six incredible days traveling from Arusha to the northern Serengeti. Walaki assigned us three jeeps with three amazing drivers: Eric, Johnny, and Agrie. The trip was absolutely excellent, with countless wildlife sightings and unforgettable, dramatic scenes of nature. But what truly made this experience so successful was our team of three drivers. Eric, Johnny, and Agrie were incredibly knowledgeable about the routes, the animals, and the best places to find wildlife. They were patient, attentive, and always made sure everything was well organized and went according to plan. Their experience and dedication made a huge difference throughout the entire trip. A special thank you to Adi and Jonathan for putting everything together so professionally and making this family trip such a memorable experience. We highly recommend wakali for an unforgettable safari experience!
Response from the operator: Dear Avishag, Thank you so much for this beautiful and detailed review! ❤️🇹🇿 Organizing a safari for a family of 15 people across three vehicles, all the way from Arusha to Northern Serengeti, requires a lot of coordination, so Adi and I are especially happy to hear that everything felt smooth, professional, and well organized throughout your six days with us. Johny, Agrey, and Eric will be very proud to read your words. With three vehicles traveling together, teamwork between the guides is incredibly important, communicating about wildlife sightings, coordinating routes and timing, and at the same time making sure everyone in each vehicle gets a fantastic experience. They really enjoyed taking care of your family. 🦁🐘🚙 And what a journey you had! The wildlife, the landscapes, and those dramatic moments in nature are exactly what make the road to Northern Serengeti so special. Most importantly, it was a genuine pleasure for all of us to host your family. After six days together, you were no longer simply a group of 15 guests, we had made new friends. ❤️ Thank you, Avishag, for recognizing not only our guides but also the work Adi and I put into making the trip come together. Your recommendation means a great deal to the entire Wakali team. Asante sana to you and the whole family. We hope to see you all again in Tanzania! 🌍 Warm regards, Jonathan Wakali Safaris 🐾

The besr experiance
We went on a 5-day safari trip in Tanzania guided by @Johnny. Johnny is a guide with a captivating personality—humble, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. At every single moment, he made sure we were comfortable, well-fed, engaged, and having a great time. Most importantly, he expertly maneuvered the jeep so we could get the closest possible view of all the safari wildlife, all while showing the utmost respect for the animal kingdom. I highly recommend anyone planning a trip like this to upgrade their experience and request Johnny as their guide!
Response from the operator: Dear Keren, Thank you so much for this beautiful review and for such an incredible recommendation! ❤️🇹🇿 We loved reading the way you described Johnny — humble, funny, knowledgeable, and captivating. Those qualities are exactly what make him such a special guide, and we’re very proud to have him as part of the Wakali team. We’re especially happy to hear that throughout the five days you felt comfortable, well-fed, engaged, and genuinely taken care of. A safari should be exciting, but it should also feel relaxed and personal, and Johnny has a wonderful ability to create that balance. 😊🦁 Your comment about how he positioned the vehicle while always respecting the animals also means a lot to us. Getting an incredible wildlife sighting is important, but doing it responsibly and respecting the animals and their environment is even more important. 🐘🌿 Thank you, Keren, for choosing Wakali Safaris and for recommending Johnny so strongly. It was a pleasure hosting you and Omri, and we hope Tanzania gave you memories that will stay with you for many years. Asante sana! ❤️ Warm regards, Jonathan Wakali Safaris 🐾

A once-in-a-lifetime experience. If I ever do it again, or if anyone in my family does, it will only be with Wakali.
The tour was perfect. Johnny, the guide, had an incredible amount of knowledge and explained everything in a pleasant and engaging way. He was very attentive to our needs. Thanks to Johnny’s knowledge, we saw all the animals that were there to see. Excellent hotels, a comfortable jeep, and great food. I highly recommend it without hesitation.
Response from the operator: Dear Omri, Thank you so much for this fantastic review. The words “if I ever do it again, or if anyone in my family does, it will only be with Wakali” are an incredible compliment, and one we certainly don't take for granted. 🙏❤️ We’re delighted that the entire experience came together so well — from the hotels and food to the comfort of the safari vehicle and, most importantly, your time out in the bush. Johnny will be very happy to read your comments. His knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife and his ability to explain what you’re seeing in an interesting and engaging way can completely transform a game drive. And it sounds like the wildlife cooperated too! 😄🦁🐘🦒 Knowing that you felt he was attentive to your needs throughout the journey is particularly important to us. We want every Wakali safari to feel personal rather than simply following a standard itinerary. Thank you, Omri, for trusting us with such an important trip and for recommending Wakali without hesitation. Should that “once-in-a-lifetime” experience ever become a second time, we’ll be here ready to welcome you and Keren back! 🇹🇿🌍 Asante sana! Warm regards, Jonathan Wakali Safaris 🐾

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania cost?
+
Prices start at $500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is 5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days Private Safari Tour in Arusha and Tanzania start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Kilimanjaro climb by Lemosho Route (7-day), Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
