The climb begins at Lemosho Gate at an altitude of 2360 meters, with a western approach. It then circles around Kilimanjaro to the south, passing through majestic rainforest, home to some of the region’s most unique wildlife. The route continues up to Shira Ridge; the mountain’s third summit.

Highly recommend Nafika Tours!!!
We had the most amazing time on the 7 day lemosho route to the top of Kilimanjaro. Our guides, Justin and Frenk were exceptional - always very encouraging, knowledgable, attentive and fun. The chef (Peter) made great food and the waiter (David) was a bundle of joy and we didn’t have to lift a finger. We had porters carry our big bags the whole way, set up tents before we arrived (which were very comfortable and roomier than other operators), our own private camping toilet, 3 cooked meals a day, plenty of hot drinks and a “washy washy” bowl most days. Nafika is a local operator so it’s nice to know that your money is going straight back to locals rather than an external company. I would highly, highly recommend Nafika - cannot fault them, and was up there with one of the best experiences of my life.

An Incredible Experience with a Truly Exceptional Team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We have just completed the Lemosho Route on Mount Kilimanjaro with Nafika Tours, and honestly, we could not have asked for a better experience. If you are considering climbing Kilimanjaro, we would recommend Nafika Tours without a second thought. What makes this company truly special is not just the organisation or the quality of the trek, but above all, the incredible people behind it. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. Everything was clearly explained, and whenever we had a question, we received a very quick response via WhatsApp. Equipment that was too expensive to purchase could be rented directly through them, which was very convenient. Our guides, Aloyce and Martin, were absolutely fantastic. Every day, they gave us a detailed briefing for the following day, explaining what time we would wake up, when breakfast would be served, how long we would hike, what to expect in terms of difficulty, what to wear and what to pack in our daypacks. We always knew what was coming, which made us feel prepared and comfortable throughout the trek. And then there is the crew. Honestly, words hardly do them justice. The porters went above and beyond every single day to make our experience as comfortable as possible. Whenever we arrived at camp, our boots and trousers had been cleaned of dust, and a warm towel was waiting for us to freshen up. There was always warm water available for washing and drinking, our portable toilet was ready, and there was always more than enough delicious food prepared by Jonathan, our fantastic cook. Judika, our personal waiter, even took the time to teach us Swahili along the way. These little personal touches made such a difference. Every day, the team also performed a finger test to monitor our vital signs and help ensure we were doing well at altitude. What really touched us was seeing how hard the crew worked, often with far less comfort and carrying far heavier loads than we did, yet always with a smile and without a single complaint. Their dedication, kindness and positive attitude were genuinely humbling. They were not simply doing a job; they truly cared about our experience and our wellbeing. And then came summit night. Unforgettable does not even begin to describe it. It was not just physically demanding, but mentally challenging in a way that is difficult to explain unless you have experienced it yourself. Throughout the summit push, Aloyce and Martin constantly checked on us, made sure we were comfortable and reassured us whenever things got tough. They even arranged for an extra porter, Nickson, to accompany us during the summit push to help carry our equipment if needed. That level of support says everything about how seriously Nafika Tours takes care of its clients. A special mention goes to Nickson, who not only made sure our boots were clean every day but also volunteered to join us for the summit push. That kind of commitment is something we will never forget. Aloyce, Martin, Jonathan, Judika, Nickson and every single member of the crew: thank you. I know we have not mentioned everyone by name, and I apologise for that, but every single person played a part in making this journey so special. You were a true dream team. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many people, and having the right team around you makes all the difference. I had the pleasure of booking the 7-day Lemosho Route and 4 days safari with Nafika Tours, a truly local company, and they exceeded all my expectation From the beginning, the team showed great professionalism and paid attention to every little detail to make sure the whole experience was enjoyable and memorable, The guides were very friendly, supportive, and attentive. They kept our spirits high throughout the challenging trek and made sure we stayed positive. Daily medical check-ups gave us extra confidence, as safety was clearly their number one priority. The equipment tents , sleeping mattresses was also of excellent quality The food was delicious, the pace was well managed, and the camps were comfortable and clean. The entire team was caring, helpful, and always approachable, making the experience truly unforgettable. The safari was equally amazing! Our guide was very professional, the accommodation was great, and we saw so many animals, including all of the Big Five. I truly believe reaching the summit would not have been possible without the incredible support of the Nafika Tours team. It’s a Gem of all Kilimanjaro tours!! Don’t miss this
You will definitely get much more than what you paid for. Started from the driver picking me up from the airport, to all the 7 crews, with my super awesome guide Aloyce, super Chef David, super server David#2, Richard, Shaban, Roberto and Wilson. And don’t forget the flushable toilet, absolutely luxury with such a reasonable price. Aloyce helped me to follow my own pace. My pace is to create a record for myself. I would suggest whoever want to go either very slow or fast to choose this tour. It will be made for your own pace either helps you to summit successfully in a slow and risk free pace or to create your own record. Thank you organizer! You are awesome too!
