STAY AWAY FROM MERUSLPE SAFARI TRIP!
STAY AWAY FROM MERU SLPES SAFARI TRIP COMPANY. My wife and I booked a private safari trip and the company did not live up to its promises in the email. 1. They messed up our hotel reservation and we did not have a lodge reservation for our last night. The company's plan was to put us in a tent camp which we did not want in the first place. Since they could not find a decent place since it was last minute we had to look for a lodge ourselves which ruined our last day of the safari. Not only that, since we cannot travel on Saturday we had to reserve two nights (instead of one) and the company would not cover the cost but made us pay for the extra cost. 2. They wrote that there will be a private driver and a cook which was essential to us in view of our special food requirements, however, when we met with the driver, there was no cook and the company said that Was because we stay at lodges. They did not communicate it to us and had we known we would not carry our cooking pot and pan and would organize accordingly. They said the chefs at the lodges would cook for us but the company did not do anything to arrange for that and we did not have cooked food for our stay except for one night when we spoke with the chef. 3. They promised to provide binoculars and they brought tiny ones suitable for kids' play but not for the safari. After multiple requests, we got the binoculars in the last 1.5 days. 4. The safari jeep was not in very good shape and the shock absorbers were not in a good shape resulting in a very rocky ride. 5. The company promises wifi in the jeep, however, most of the time there was no wifi. We are very upset with all our dealings with this company which ruined our safari experience and brought my wife to tears. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO GO THROUGH A NIGHTMARE OF A WEEK LIKE THAT.

Great experience with the greatest guide Salehe
Our guide Salehe was very helpful and full filled all of our desires. We have seen every possible animal leaving in a particular park. My wife is very demanding and even she was satisfied. On the other hand he gently nudged as to have a better experience. Overall we are very happy but Lake Manyara Park was a disappointment after 5 days of Safari.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! Glad you had a great time on safari with us! Kind regards Geofrey Nassari Director and Sales It was a pleasure having you on safari with us.

Big 5? Mission accomplished
Geofrey is one of the most responsive and accommodating tour coordinators I’ve ever met. No matter the time of day, he always responded to our questions. Also, he allowed us to switch our trek and safari only a couple days before due to an illness. I am very grateful for his kind service and hospitality. Our guide, Salehe, and cook, Rasheed, were also great!! Salehe is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and geography (thanks to his masters degree). He also does everything in his power to get you to see the Big 5 AND get you up close. Rasheed makes amazing meals and always has a smile on his face. Overall, great experience. Planet Lodge and the Serengeti Lodge are really nice and worth it. Camping one night was a good experience, but the lodge life was much better!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much, you are very kind in your review. Thank you for booking with Meru slopes tours and safaris We are very happy that you enjoyed your safari with us in Tanzania, Kind regards Geofrey Nasari Director and sales

5 Days privateArumeru Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 5 Days privateArumeru Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $2,600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days privateArumeru Tour take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is 5 Days privateArumeru Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days privateArumeru Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 5 Days privateArumeru Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days privateArumeru Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days privateArumeru Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in 5 Days privateArumeru Tour?
+
Included: Private transportation; On-board WiFi; Lunch; Dinner; and Breakfast. Not included: Gratuities; and Tanzania Visa. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

+

What languages is 5 Days privateArumeru Tour offered in?
+
It is offered in German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

+
