Worth the cost and wait!
The trip was worth the price. We like the idea of all admission fees being included so we did not have to worry about, other than the fuel cost, which we understand. Chris, our tour guide, was great. He was very informative and engaging. We would definitely travel with this company and with Chris again!!! Thank you for a memorable 47th anniversary trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the service we've provided! We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!

Trip review
The tour guide did a very good job considering our group was bilingual. We did spend a lot of time traveling, but the bus was comfortable. The accommodations were questionable for the most part- at one hotel, there were roaches, at another hotel they used some sort of air freshener that was pervasive and with asthma not a good experience. With no meals, fast food is your option. More information should be provided about your itinerary and the types of hotels you should expect to stay in. It would also be helpful to know that each stop is strictly time regulated and there’s no opportunity for souvenir shopping at the majority of the stops.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We would like to address the concerns you raised in your review. Our tour is designed to follow the published itinerary, and our guide confirmed that all scheduled stops were completed as planned. Additionally, because there were senior guests in the group, extra time was provided at several stops to ensure everyone could move at a comfortable pace. The locations included in the itinerary offer a wide variety of restaurants and food choices, allowing guests to select according to their own preferences and schedule. Due to the travel schedule, lunch stops are not designed for extended sit-down meals of one and a half to two hours. However, dinner time is more flexible and allows guests to enjoy a more leisurely meal. We appreciate your understanding of these practical constraints. We would like to clarify that souvenir shops were available at several major stops, including Mount Rushmore and Old Faithful in Yellowstone. Many guests on the tour were able to purchase souvenirs at these locations. We are very concerned to learn about the issues you described regarding the hotel conditions, including the presence of roaches and the strong air freshener. Please kindly note that no such issues were reported to the guide during the tour. We strongly encourage our guests to inform the guide or contact our team immediately if any problem arises, as this allows us to address the issue on the spot and, where possible, arrange a room change or contact the hotel directly. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salt Lake City.
How much does 5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City cost?
+
Prices start at $1257 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salt Lake City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salt Lake City is not rushed.
Is 5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Salt Lake City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salt Lake City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salt Lake City and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5-Day Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore Tour from Salt Lake City start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salt Lake City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salt Lake City?
+
Salt Lake City is a basecamp: Big and Little Cottonwood canyon hikes and ski shuttles, Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake trips, Park City transfers and Temple Square walking tours. Winter transfer reliability is the single biggest quality signal here. On Outty we rank every Salt Lake City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Salt Lake City Guided Bus Tour, Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square & Salt Lake City Bus Tour, Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salt Lake City?
+
December to March for skiing, June to September for canyon hiking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salt Lake City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
