Beautiful landscape with vibrant wildlife and a knowledgeable guide
Beautiful vistas in all directions and exciting wildlife sightings, especially pronghorn (like antelope), bison, and birds. Our guide Clayton was super knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. He planned our itinerary thoughtfully, providing binoculars for seeing the animals and taking us to many different locations on the island. He shared a lot of history about Utah as well. Six stars!
Response from the operator: We really appreciate the extra star! As a native Utahan, it means a lot to me to show off and highlight some of the states the best/most unique wildlife and landscapes. Having such an engaging, inquisitive and curious group is always rewarding and makes for the best trips. Thank you for all the great questions, conversation and for being great guests. Thank you also for the amazing review! Safe travels!

Awesome Experience at Antelope Island
We didn’t know what to expect on this tour but we were very pleased. Our guide picked us up at our hotel and was very knowledgeable about the area. We saw many wildlife and learned so much about the area. We are so pleased that we took this tour. We were some of the first to visit the welcome center at Antelope Island. I could have stayed longer. Nice & I highly recommend.
Response from the operator: You never really know what you'll get out there day-to-day but it never disappoints! As wildlife and nature guides, our goal is to connect people to nature and we're glad we could share some amazing animals and views with you. Thank you again for booking with Safari Utah and for taking the time to leave a great review!

Great Tour of a Great Place
The tour was incredible. The island is a magical place. Clayton had so much knowledge that he shared with us about the geology, animals and the island itself. We saw bison, antelopes and too many birds to name. Great tour!
Response from the operator: We're really passionate about this special place and it's uniqueness and it's always fun to share as much interesting info as you can take! Thank you for being a great guest and thank you so much for the amazing review!

Beautiful and interesting tour!
We had an amazing time with Sinead. She was extremely knowledgeable in the area, geology and wildlife. She knew exactly where to look for the bison and we also saw pronghorn antelope, burrowing owls, a deer, and beautiful birds. With a short trip, our time was precious, and we couldn’t be happier we chose this tour. Despite the heat, we were comfortable in her van and got to see everything we could’ve hoped to and more.
Response from the operator: I'm so glad you enjoyed your time on the island, thanks for sharing this lovely review! This is such a special corner of Utah, with so many beautiful animals, views and history to explore. I hope it added something special to your trip. Thanks for choosing us! Sinéad

Our tour guide was...
Our tour guide was phenomenal. He is very knowledgeable about the island and Utah in general. There were plenty of stops along the way to get out and take pictures. The views were stunning. We saw a ton of bison even baby ones. They actually walked in front and behind our vehicle. I would highly recommend this tour!
Response from the operator: No matter the time of year or conditions, the island always something special to share with us. I'm glad we could share a tiny piece of our great state with you and would gladly welcome you back to share more of this state and our amazing nature and parks with you! Thank you again for booking with us and helping to make it a great trip!

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salt Lake City.
How much does Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salt Lake City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salt Lake City is not rushed.
Is Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 181 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salt Lake City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island?
+
Around 63 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salt Lake City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salt Lake City and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salt Lake City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salt Lake City?
+
Salt Lake City is a basecamp: Big and Little Cottonwood canyon hikes and ski shuttles, Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake trips, Park City transfers and Temple Square walking tours. Winter transfer reliability is the single biggest quality signal here. On Outty we rank every Salt Lake City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Salt Lake City Guided Bus Tour, Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square & Salt Lake City Bus Tour, Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salt Lake City?
+
December to March for skiing, June to September for canyon hiking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salt Lake City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
