Unforgettable memories!!
My mom and I joined the 5 day Grand Teton and Yellowstone tour from Salt Lake City, and it was truly one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken. A big reason for that was our amazing tour guide, Michael C. Michael is incredibly responsible, caring, professional, and funny. We were unlucky with the weather because it rained almost every day, and sometimes the rain was very heavy. Even so, Michael never let the weather affect our experience. He always stayed positive and made sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and enjoying the trip. What impressed us the most was how thoughtful and attentive he was. At every stop, he personally walked with the group and gave detailed explanations in both Chinese and English. Even in the pouring rain, he never rushed us and always made sure everyone was together. One moment that really touched us was when the parking area was far from the attraction. Instead of asking us to walk back through the heavy rain, Michael walked to the bus himself and drove it closer so we could get on without getting soaked. It may seem like a small gesture, but it showed how much he genuinely cared about every guest. Safety was always his top priority. While driving through Yellowstone, he was always watching carefully for wildlife. Whenever it was safe to do so, he would pull over so we could enjoy seeing the animals. During the longer drives, he also planned restroom breaks at the right times, making the journey much more comfortable for everyone. Even though the weather was not ideal, we had an amazing time. Michael’s professionalism, kindness, patience, and great sense of humor made all the difference. We also met wonderful people on the tour, which made the trip even more special. If we ever join another tour in the future, we will definitely request Michael again. Thank you, Michael, for making this such an unforgettable trip for both my mom and me. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a safe, enjoyable, and well-organized Yellowstone tour!!

5Day Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park Tour from Salt Lake City
This was my first time traveling with Trip Advisor and I had a fantastic time! Michael C was our tour guide and his knowledge of all things Yellowstone and Grand Teton was superb. I couldn't have asked for a better guide for my first trip as our itinerary was perfect. I was amazed at the amount of animals Mike was able to spot for us to observe which included bison, elk, moose, bears, and coyotes to name a few. He provided us with binoculars and back ground information which made the experience so much better. When I was nervous being so high up at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone viewing point, he patiently waited with me until I felt comfortable enough to look down into the canyon and what a view it was! The crowds were small which made the adventure so much better. We had a group that comprised Chinese as well as English speaking travelers and he mastered both explanations beautifully with an equal amount of Chinese versus English explanations. I had never been to Utah, Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming before and he shared with us many fun facts about all of these states that it made sightseeing so much fun! It was wonderful to not worry about driving during our 5 day trip as Mike was extremely safe and took great care to make us all comfortable. When we traveled back to Salt Lake City, Mike showed us the Great Salt Lake, Capital building and Mormon Square. We even heard the organ being played inside the Mormon Tabernacle. This was a moment I will never forget! I can't thank Mike enough for his patience, caring, and expertise. Now I can't wait to book my next trip as the admission fee and price was well worth the cost!

Well organized itinerary and fantastic tour guide
I just came home from 5 day trip and overall it was fantastic! Our trip started at the Salt Lake City airport where we met up with our guide/driver Michael C. He was very attentive to our needs and provided great narration in both English and Chinese on a variety of subjects from geological features of Yellowstone to history of Utah/Salt Lake City. Our tour group consisted of travelers from Taiwan and China, as well domestic tourists such as my friend and I. He was very patient in explaining everything in both languages and accommodating everyone’s different cultural needs. We stopped in a small town the first night, about halfway to Yellowstone. Then we set out the next morning and hit up Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons NP on the second day. The weather was unusually cold for this time of the year but we had a blast, experiencing snow and sleet in addition to the usual weather for this time of the year. The third day was entirely spent in Yellowstone as this tour included two nights stay in Canyon Lodge inside the park. That saved a lot of travel time compared to staying outside of the park. I felt the additional cost was worth it as we saw so many amazing animals in the early part of the day. On this trip we had multiple sightings of bears, moose, elk, bison, pronghorns, marmots, coyotes, etc. We also visited Yellowstone Bear World which is a sanctuary outside the park that had a drive through safari type experience. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we got to see and experienced, especially watching bear cubs up close. The trip ended on the last day with a visit to the Great Salt Lake as well as the Utah state capitol building and Temple Square. It was fascinating to learn of state history and see the beautiful architecture. Overall I would totally recommend this trip to everyone that wants to visit Yellowstone. We saw all the major points of interests on a very efficient itinerary without feeling rushed. There were some easy hikes on paved paths and boardwalks but nothing strenuous.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the service we've provided! We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!

On Outty we rank every Salt Lake City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Salt Lake City Guided Bus Tour, Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square & Salt Lake City Bus Tour, Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salt Lake City?
+
December to March for skiing, June to September for canyon hiking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salt Lake City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
