    About this experience

For riders who love to saddle up and go farther, the Heart Six Ranch three-hour horseback ride offers a longer and more immersive experience. Designed for guests with some riding experience, this adventure makes full use of the rugged terrain surrounding the ranch. You'll climb into the mountains and follow less-traveled trails that take you deep into the backcountry—because out here, everything is a little farther out. This ride rewards you with breathtaking, panoramic views of the Grand Teton Mountains, just outside the boundaries of the national park. It’s one of the most authentic ways to experience the wild beauty of Wyoming on horseback.

Not Recommended - Zero sense of urgency or even doing good work

My Family & I went Horseback Riding on Monday. They told us to get there 30 min before our start time @3. When we got there @2:30 the girl said, “oh, I didn’t know we even had anymore clients today.” We weren’t the only ones there for the horse ride either. We were waiting for over an hour while they got everything ready with the horses. Finally, we were on our way. The ride was pleasant for the most part. My saddle never felt right but I haven't ridden a horse in over 20 years so I didn’t know it wasn’t strapped correctly. My son’s saddle kept leaning as well and the girl who took us out got off her horse and fixed it & strapped it down tight. 20 minutes later I started to feel my saddle fall so I screamed that my saddle was falling and down I went. Still attached to my saddle I fell right off my horse. Hit the ground hard. The horse was stomping around trying to get a good footing & I thought the horse was gonna fall right on top of me. Thankfully that didn’t happen & I was able to get out my legs out of the way of the horse stomping around. At first I had so much adrenaline that I didn’t realize how hurt I was. I had no choice but to get back on the horse and finish the ride down the mountain. The girl when we got back offered my husband some alcohol swabs and bandaids but no accountability for their mistake at all. I thought for a few days that I might have a broken elbow, thankfully it wasn’t. Just badly scrapped and bruised ALL over!! Now, I don’t know if it’s because this operation is run by a bunch of young adults or not. I didn’t see anyone there over the age of 25, most of them looked 19. Typically that wouldn’t bother me but if no one is there vetting what these kids do, then You are subject to their Incompetence. Makes me wonder how many other people have fallen off their horse because they didn’t do their do diligence beforehand. Since this was their fault they should of at least offered to discount my ride or comp it completely but they didn’t. This cost our Family $850 for 90 minutes, so it was not cheap. Ride at your Own Risk!!!!

Absolutely worth every penny!! Do it!!!

This was absolutely fabulous and worth EVERY PENNY! Riding horses through the Teton was amazing. The views were breathtaking. Our guide was Nick and he was great! He is very knowledgeable and shared lots of history and facts along the way. The horses were gentle and seemed to know what their job was. My horse was Poco and he was so sweet ( but doesn’t like other horses haha). I would not recommend the three hour ride if you’ve never been on a horse before ( definitely do a shorter trip). There is also a small restaurant there that has burgers, fries, and beer.

    Less than ideal

We arrived at 1pm as recommended to be there 30 in advance to our 130 appt. While waiting we witnessed negative attitudes and complete disorganization from the workers. We actually felt like a burden to them for something we paid to do. We didn’t leave for the ride until 3pm. Once on the trail the guide, who came at the last minute and not in a great mood, never introduced herself or really even said two words the entire time. I’m not sure what is happening there but can use some improvements. On a positive note the view was beautiful but really you only get one view as you just loop around.

How much does 3 Hour Horseback Riding in Jackson Hole cost?

    +

How long does 3 Hour Horseback Riding in Jackson Hole take?

    +

Is 3 Hour Horseback Riding in Jackson Hole worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jackson Hole, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Hour Horseback Riding in Jackson Hole?

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Hour Horseback Riding in Jackson Hole suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 Hour Horseback Riding in Jackson Hole?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson Hole can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson Hole and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Hour Horseback Riding in Jackson Hole start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson Hole within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jackson Hole?

    +

Jackson Hole is wildlife-first: sunrise safaris for moose, bison and bears in Grand Teton, Snake River floats, Yellowstone day trips and winter sleigh rides through the National Elk Refuge. Guide experience and optics quality separate the wildlife tours. On Outty we rank every Jackson Hole experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Snake River Scenic Float, Jackson Hole Horseback Riding & Lunch in Bridger Teton NF, Snake River Scenic Float with Chairs. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jackson Hole?

    +

June to September for hiking and floats, December to March for snow. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jackson Hole?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
