Great tour, great guide, great vibes
This tour was unforgettable thanks to our knowledge, friendly and down to earth guide Mohammed. From the beginning of our trip in Fes all the way to Marrakech, Mohammed shared his extensive knowledge of the area which really made the tour an enjoyable experience. It was a truly remarkable tour and we made some fantastic memories with the best group of people!

An amazing Sahara experience
It was an amazing 3-day experience, especially because of Mohammad. He was a great guide and gave great insights into local culture, customs, and history. I would absolutely recommend this company and definitely Mohammad being your tour guide. He definitely made the experience better with great conversation!

A must do Camel & Sightseeing Experience!
The tour was amazing. What really set the whole tone for our experience was our driver and tour guide - Mohammed. The three-days was just the right amount of time to travel from Fes to Marrakech for my wife and me. Each day presented different special memories and it was great to have the camel ride on day 1 of the excursion. It was unfortunate there was a sand storm in the evening, so we didn’t get to see the sunset. The air-conditioning room option is a MUST! The second day through the gorges was interesting to see; however the last day from Ouarzazate to Marrakech we experienced the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah was the cherry on top for us!!! Some tips are one should take about 600 dirham or 60 euros *cash* per person for the whole trip for lunches, water, tips, etc as credit cards are not always welcomed. The fact that the trip ended in Ouarzazate made the rise to the top over other trips as it made our visit to Ait Ben Haddou leisurely allowing us to explore, take photos and buy some souvenirs. All in all, there is a must-do excursion with Sesert Smile Tours using **Mohammed**. This excursion was the only one I could find that guaranteed a atay over in Ouarzazate versus staying in Dades which would create a “drive-by” experience at Ait Ben Haddou. My wife’s and my recommendations: Company (Desert Smile Tours), Driver/Guide (Mohammed), Camel Tent (Air conditioning), Day 2 overnight (Ouarzazate), bring plenty of *cold* drinking water (a thermos is best), snacks and 60 euros per person for meals, snacks, small souvenirs, and tips..

Why this scores 87
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.
How much does 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga cost?
+
Prices start at $167 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.
Is 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 366 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga?
+
Around 128 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fez?
+
On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Exclusive Fez Medina Walking Tour with Private Guide, Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days, Private Guided Walking Tour of Fes Medina with Local Expert. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fez?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fez?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
