About this experience
*Osborne House entrance included in tour price. Queen Victoria loved her holidays. She travelled to Scotland, France, and Italy and stayed at lavish palaces and princely courts in lush locations, but there’s nowhere she loved more than the Isle of Wight, a diamond-shaped pearl in the English Channel. It’s not far from London and boasts beautiful beaches, epic white sea-cliffs, a warm climate and remnants from the Romans, Normans, and two World Wars. On this tour, you visit Queen Victoria’s Italian-inspired holiday home, Osborne House*. You venture to the sea-shores and see gorgeous cliffs, barren bunkers and stunning white rock structures. And on the mainland, you even get a chance to celebrate your journey with a drink at the home of Bombay Sapphire Gin. Join this trip, follow in the footsteps of royalty and let your guide lead you through England’s favourite holiday island.

What a great 3 days!
This was my 2nd visit to the Isle of Wight. The first time was for one day to see Osborne House and even though I loved Osborne House, my overall impression of the Island wasn't great. I'm so glad I went back because clearly I hadn't given the Island a fair shake. As a solo traveler I've found that Rabbies is the way to go. In fact, this was my 5th Rabbies tour in a little over a year. Our driver was Carl and he was knowledgeable, fun and funny. We took a 45 minute ferry from Portsmouth (including the bus) and our first stop on the Island was Quarr Abbey. I would like to add (and warn unsuspecting people such as myself) of an innocent looking plant called "stinging nettle." I stuck my arm in it to pick something up and came away with a bumpy rash and pain that took 3 days to fully go away. Day 2 was the most fun. The morning was spent at Osborne House. We had 3 hours and that was enough time to see the house, grounds and beach. After that we went to the Needles and I had a blast. You have to get to the beach from a cliff and your choices are walking (down fine, up yuck) or take a chairlift. The chairlift won out and the views were incredible. We then took a boat to get a better look at the Needles and the boat crew spoke to us about what we were seeing. On the last day we stopped at Winchester before heading back to London. Winchester is a beautiful town and I love the Cathedral. Jane Austen is buried in the Cathedral and they had an exhibition celebrating the 250th anniversary of her birth. After this we stopped at Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed in 1215 and where there is also a memorial to JFK (kind of a random location, but nice).

Great 3 day tour
We only had 5 guests and driver/guide. Jack made the group experience excellent and even modified the tour to meet our preferences.

We loved the Isle of Wight!
My niece and I had a really marvelous time touring the Isle of Wight with Rabbie's. Our guide was Amir, who was terrific. He kept us informed, entertained, and comfortable, and took excellent care of us. We particularly loved seeing Osborne House, and spending 2 nights exploring Shanklin. Pat's guest house, the St. Leonard, was marvelous too. Many thanks Rabbie's for a great experience.

Trip of a lifetime
This was a great trip! Thanks to David, our guide and driver for 5 days who made our tour of Southern England and Stonehenge so fantastic. We saw so much including Dartmoor, Portsmouth, and beautiful coastlines of Cornwell. David was knowledgeable about the history and places we visited and shared so many stories with us that were informative and entertaining. And the driving was awesome! You navigated difficult parking and roads with such skill! Thank you!

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does 3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London cost?
+
Prices start at $538 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
