    Cathedral dive Lanai!

Wow. What an awesome day of scuba diving with the Dive Maui crew. Joe, Brian, and Jessie were amazing. Jessie was my dive instructor and she was great. Great boat ride. A Giant moray eel (8-10 feet long) swam right underneath us. Cathedrals were so fun to explore. Highly recommend this trip!

Response from the operator: We are so glad you enjoyed your trip to the Lanai Cathedrals with Joe, Brian, Jessi & Dive Maui! Sounds like you guys had a great day out there! Mahalo for your kind review. We appreciate you and your recommendation!

    Highly recommend Dive Maui!!!

Today was my first dive with Dive Maui. I chose dive Maui because their ratio is 7 students to one instructor while most places are 10 students per instructor. Joseph the ship captain was great and explained the dive plan, pointed out safety features and warned us about Possible rough Waters, which there were. I have to give an extra shout out to Chris - my diving instructor. He was very patient with me, especially during the first dive when I had a hard time going deeper. Then After I exited the water for the first time I got sick. He offered me Ginger Chews which really helped. I also told them that I wasn’t going to do the second Dive because I didn’t feel well. He said “Julia trust me. You’ll feel better after you get back in the water and I don’t want you to miss all the cool stuff on the second dive.” He was right! I definitely felt better on the second die and did see a lot of cool stuff. I got sick again on the second die, but the ginger chews helped me again. If you’re in Maui, I would highly recommend going to Dive Maui. They’re professional, Patient and incredibly kind. Thank you!!! You are THE BEST!!!🤿

Response from the operator: We are so pleased you enjoyed your trip to the Lanai Cathedrals with Joe, Chris & Dive Maui despite your sea sickness! We do the best we can to make sure everyone enjoys their day no matter what the conditions. Mahalo for the incredibly kind review! We really appreciate you and your recommendation! We hope to welcome you back onboard (on a nice calm day) soon!

Beautiful Dive Site, Awesome Boat and Crew

Amazing experience, a must do if you’re a scuba diver in Maui. The Cathedrals were breathtaking, both very different in beauty and wildlife encountered. The boat is a nice boat, small dive group sizes, and the crew takes care of you and everything on your trip! All you have to do is put on your pack and go enjoy! Divers of all experience levels went and they were able to cater to us all, and come up when it was the right time for you and your capabilities. The Viz was unreal, 100+ and it wasn’t so deep you ran out of air quick. Make sure to bring a camera for in and out of water. We also had dolphins come within arms distance of our boat and we got to stop and watch the show. Never felt rushed or hearded like cattle. This is truly a class act and I’ll be booking again when I’m back!

Response from the operator: We are so glad you enjoyed your trip out to the cathedrals with Dive Maui! Sounds like you had a great day on the water! And who doesn’t love seeing dolphins! Mahalo for the amazing review and feedback! We appreciate you and hope to welcome you back onboard again soon!

    Bucket list item checked

The experience was excellent with a highly professional crew, including the captains and two dive masters. Brian was my dive master; he was outstanding and explained everything clearly, found cool wide life including eels, octopuses, lobsters…. The lava tubes provided an impressive experience. As a pro tip, take your time entering the tubes and exploring.

Response from the operator: We are so glad you enjoyed your trip to the Cathedrals with Brian & Dive Maui! Sounds like you had some great dives and saw some cool stuff! Mahalo for the pro tip (and we totally agree) and kind review! We appreciate you and hope to welcome you back onboard again soon!

2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Maui.

How much does 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers cost?

    +

Prices start at $307 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Maui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Maui is not rushed.

Is 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 609 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Maui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers?

    +

Around 213 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Maui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Maui and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Maui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Maui?

    +

Maui's three signature days are the Hana road, the Haleakala summit sunrise and the Molokini snorkel sail, and all three are logistics problems as much as experiences. Sunrise summit entry is permit-controlled, Hana is a ten-hour driving day, and Molokini boats vary wildly in size. Our ranking rewards operators who handle permits and keep boat capacity low. On Outty we rank every Maui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Molokini Crater + South Maui Coast Adventure from Kihei, Maui, West Maui Snorkeling Experience by Boat from Ka'anapali, Maui Eco-Raft Tour: Eye-Level Whale or Dolphin Watching - Lahaina. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Maui?

    +

April to May and September to October. Whale season runs December to April. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Maui?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers?

    +

Included: Water; SCUBA equipment available to rent; and Snacks. Not included: Use of SCUBA equipment; Divers must be Certified (Open Water +); and Hotel pick-up and drop off. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers?

What languages is 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers offered in?

    +

It is offered in English, Danish and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for 2 Tank Lanai Cathedral Scuba Dive Via Boat for Certified Divers?

    +

The operator notes: No pregnant persons. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
