Terrible forced cancellation after confirmation of dive and 1 day before dive. Beware of their practice of overbooking
I don’t know where to start. They charged my card for three people, confirmed the dive, and then contacted me the day before to say it had been overbooked and asked me to cancel. The cancellation process was equally frustrating. You can’t cancel online on the day of the dive, so if you want your money back, you’re forced to call and spend a significant amount of time trying to resolve an issue that was entirely their fault. This wasn’t just an inconvenience. We had already purchased ferry tickets, pre-booked taxis, and reserved a beach club for eight people, all centered around this dive experience. It was supposed to be a surprise Father’s Day gift, and the last-minute cancellation ruined those plans. Overall, a terrible customer experience. Poor communication, overbooking, and a burdensome refund process. I would highly NOT recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your Father's Day plans were impacted and understand your disappointment. To provide some additional context, your reservation request for June 22 was received on June 20 outside of our office hours. As soon as we reopened the following day, we immediately checked availability with the dive center you selected. Unfortunately, the dive center was already fully booked. We also contacted a neighboring dive center in an attempt to accommodate your group, but they, too, had no remaining availability. As we were unable to confirm the dives on the selected date, we informed you promptly and offered the option to reschedule for the following day. Since this alternative did not fit your plans, we advised cancelling the reservation. Regarding the cancellation process, because the booking was made through a third-party platform, we are unfortunately unable to cancel or modify reservations on behalf of guests. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this situation caused and understand that it impacted the plans you had arranged around this experience. While we always make every effort to accommodate last-minute booking requests, confirmations ultimately depend on availability and cannot be guaranteed, particularly during periods of high demand. For excursions on specific dates that are especially important, we therefore recommend booking further in advance whenever possible. Kind regards, Pro Dive International

Recommend!!!
I recently got back from a dive trip with friends. We used Pro Dive Cozumel for a 5 day dive trip, and the entire experience was perfect! I got certified while I was there and could not have been in better hands with Caro and Luisa. They were both incredibly kind, patient, and so fun! The dives were incredible, and I felt completely safe as a new diver even though my friends were more experienced. Caro, Luisa, and the entire Pro Dive team were so helpful, kind, and I would highly recommend this team to anyone else!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re very happy to hear that you had such a great experience diving with us and that your certification went smoothly. Caro and Luisa will be delighted to hear your kind words. We hope to welcome you back for more amazing dives in the future! 🌊🤿

Great Dives Not so Great Check in Experience
The dives themselves were spectacular. The check in and timeliness of going on the dives were disjointed and not very professional. I had to get how things were scheduled from another diver who was staying at the resort. I arrived on a cruise ship and booked based on reviews. I would not book again with them based on the surface experience. Bust as noted, what I saw was awesome.

Very Good
Very professional in the diving experience. Very gracious in flexibility on dive dates. Also tailored the dive groups so the experienced divers stayed together so not hampered by less experienced divers. Dive masters very professional and thorough in briefings and helping individuals with fine tuning weights. One trip the current was very strong and could not stop and explore the reef, using more than usual air fighting the current, I would suggest avoiding those days. Not a very good experience in the online booking, wanting repeat information from previous booking. Also the online payment system was confusing as it seems more tailored to international students. The banking payment info did not work at first, I had to request the company to reset their online bank account number. Also could not use a previous bank information from last payments. Eventually worked out but took extra time.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does 2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only) cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only) take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is 2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 145 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only)?
+
Around 51 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2 dives in Cozumel (for certified divers only) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
