10/10 overall

before during and after the trek the communication was perfect from glorious eco treks they helped answer any questions I had and helped with all the preparation as well My guide shiva was 10/10 amazing , super happy and smiley the entire time - I got really sick during high altitude and he was very good with checking in and making sure I was eating and had fluids and then offered to carry my bag while I was feeling poorly - as a solo traveller felt completely safe and looked after the entire experience :)

Response from the operator: Dear Valued Guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Glorious Eco Trek Nepal. We are delighted to hear that you had a great experience with our communication, preparation support, and overall service throughout the trek. A special thank you for your kind words about Shiva. We are very proud of his care, positivity, and dedication to ensuring our guests feel safe and well looked after, especially during challenging moments at high altitude. It truly means a lot to know you felt safe and supported as a solo traveller. We hope to welcome you back to Nepal again for another Himalayan adventure. Warm regards, Anil

Everest Base Camp Treck with Kalyan Gurung

I went on the Everest Base Camp trek based on a friend’s recommendation, and now I completely understand why she spoke so highly of Kalyan Gurung and his team. This was my first trek ever, and going straight to 5300m felt intimidating at first. But our guide Kalyan made us feel safe and confident from day one. He is calm, experienced, professional, and incredibly supportive in difficult moments. The entire trip was organized flawlessly — logistics, acclimatization, accommodation, and baggage transport were all handled perfectly. Kalyan also helped with gear preparation before the trek and shared so much knowledge about the mountains, Nepali culture, and the route itself. He has climbed up to Everest Camp 4, so you truly are in very experienced hands. Finishing this trek was a huge achievement for me, and I honestly don’t think I could have done it without such a strong and caring team. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Dear Hanna, Thank you so much for this heartfelt and wonderful review, and a special thank you to your friend for trusting us with someone so dear to her! Taking on Everest Base Camp as your very first trek is a bold and courageous decision, and we could not be prouder of what you accomplished. Reaching 5,300m is a remarkable achievement, and you should carry that with great pride. Kalyan is truly one of a kind. His experience, having reached Everest Camp 4, brings a depth of knowledge and mountain awareness that is difficult to match, and yet what makes him exceptional is that all of that expertise is delivered with warmth, patience, and genuine human care. We are so glad that came through every step of the way for you. Knowing that every logistical detail, acclimatisation, accommodation, gear preparation, and baggage, came together seamlessly is exactly the standard we hold ourselves to, and your words confirm that our team delivered at their very best. We hope this is only the beginning of your trekking journey, and we would be absolutely delighted to be part of your next adventure in Nepal. Warm regards, Anil

Would definitely book again!

Had a 10/10 experience with glorious eco trek, everything was planned out so well and Anil was always available to answer all of my questions. We were lucky enough to have Samir as our guide and couldn’t recommend him more. I unfortunately got sick during the trek but Samir was patient and never rushed me or pushed me past my limit even when I was walking at a snail pace!! Overall couldn’t recommend glorious eco trek more, you defiantly get your moneys worth for this tour :)

Response from the operator: Dear Selina, Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience, a 10/10 truly means the world to us! It was a genuine pleasure being available throughout your journey, and knowing that the planning and communication made a difference is exactly what we aim for with every trekker. Samir is a truly exceptional guide, and your experience with him is a perfect example of why we trust him with our guests. His patience, composure, and ability to read each trekker's individual needs, especially when you were unwell, reflects the care and professionalism that defines our team. We will be sure to pass on your wonderful words to him. We are so glad that despite the tough moments on the trail, the overall experience left you with memories to cherish. We hope to have the pleasure of guiding you through Nepal's mountains again someday! Warm regards, Anil

Kalyan Gurung and Pancha — absolute legends!

My guide Kalyan Gurung made my Everest Base Camp trek one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Kalyan was on another level. He guided me every step of the way with such calm confidence that I never once doubted we'd make it. What really stood out was how much he cared about keeping me healthy on the trail. He knew exactly when I should drink water, reminded me constantly, and always kept me at the right pace. Because of his guidance I acclimatised really well. Not a single headache, not a single bad day. I've heard so many stories of people struggling with altitude, but I genuinely had none of that, and I truly believe it's because of how well Kalyan prepared and looked after me. On top of all that, Kalyan is just a wonderful person to be around. He was warm and friendly from day one, and the conversations we had along the way made the trek even more special. He shared so much about the history and culture of Nepal. And then there was porter Pancha — something else entirely. Every single time I arrived at a teahouse, my bag was already there waiting for me. I still don't know how he managed it every time!

Response from the operator: Dear Valued Guest, Thank you so much for this wonderful review, it truly made our day here at Glorious Eco Trek Nepal! We are thrilled to hear that Kalyan delivered exactly the kind of guiding experience we strive for on every EBC trek. His calm confidence, deep knowledge of acclimatisation, and genuine care for his trekkers are qualities we are incredibly proud of, and your feedback is a true reflection of the dedication he brings to every expedition. Hearing that you reached Base Camp without a single difficult day is the greatest compliment we can receive. And Pancha, we smiled reading your words! His consistency and quiet professionalism on the trail speak for themselves, and we will make sure he knows how much you appreciated him. We hope the mountains of Nepal have left a permanent place in your heart, and we would love to welcome you back for another adventure. Warm regards, Anil

Great trek and outstanding guide!

I had a great experience with the team at Glorious Eco Trek! More specifically, I want to recognize our guide Parkhi who was a pleasure to partner with for our trek. It is clear that Parkhi has established strong relationships and is well appreciated by local businesses and tea house operators. Parkhi was attentive to our needs and always made sure we were well taken care of and had what we needed. He has so much knowledge to share, he was able to provide explanations and stories on the local culture, the trail and mountains, the different steps of our trip, what to expect, etc.

Response from the operator: Dear Dominique, Thank you sincerely for your thoughtful and wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you had a great experience with Glorious Eco Trek Nepal and that Parkhi made such a positive impact on your journey. Your kind words about his knowledge, care, professionalism, and strong connection with the local communities mean a great deal to us. Parkhi is truly passionate about sharing the culture, mountains, and trekking experience with our guests, and we are proud to have him on our team. Thank you again for trekking with us. We hope to welcome you back to Nepal for another unforgettable Himalayan adventure in the future. Warm regards, Anil

14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does 14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek cost?

+

Prices start at $1550 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek take?

+

Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is 14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 191 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 336-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek?

+

Around 67 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 14-Days Private Everest Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
