Fantastic Everest Base Camp Experience with Shikhar Adventure

We did the Everest Base Camp trek with Shikhar Adventure between 19 May to 1st June 2026 and had a great experience throughout. Our guide, Zite Tamang, was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and always looking out for us on the trail. He made sure everything went smoothly and kept us motivated during the tougher sections. Our porter was also very caring and supportive, always helping with a smile despite the challenging conditions. A big thank you to Dambar Thapa for organizing everything so well. The itinerary was well planned, communication was clear, and all the logistics were handled efficiently from start to finish. Overall, a very positive experience, and I would happily recommend Shikhar Adventure to anyone planning an EBC trek.

Response from the operator: Dear Abhimanyu Ji, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you had a memorable Everest Base Camp trek and that both Jite and your porter helped make the journey enjoyable and comfortable. Your kind words about their care, professionalism, and encouragement mean a great deal to our team. We are also very grateful for your appreciation of Dambar's support and the overall organization of the trip. We always strive to provide clear communication, smooth logistics, and a well-planned trekking experience, so it is rewarding to know that these efforts contributed positively to your adventure. Thank you once again for choosing Shikhar Adventure for your Everest Base Camp journey. It was our pleasure to be part of your Himalayan experience, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back to Nepal for another adventure in the future. Warm regards, Shikhar Adventure Team

Exceptional Everest Base Camp Trek with Shikhar Adventure

I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how incredible my Everest Base Camp trek was with Shikhar Adventure. From the very first day to the final steps of the journey, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine kindness. Our guide Santosh was nothing short of amazing. His experience, calm attitude, and constant encouragement made even the hardest days feel manageable. He always checked on us, explained the mountains and culture with passion, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident throughout the trek. You could truly feel that he cared, not just as a guide, but as a human being. The porter was equally wonderful — strong, humble, and always smiling despite the tough conditions. His support made a huge difference, and his hard work deserves immense respect. Both Santosh and the porter went above and beyond every single day to make this trek comfortable and memorable. What stood out the most about Shikhar Adventure was how human the entire experience felt. We were never treated like customers — we were treated like family. Every challenge on the trail was met with patience, support, and genuine concern for our well-being. Reaching Everest Base Camp was a dream, but the people who walked beside us are what truly made this journey unforgettable. I am deeply grateful to Shikhar Adventure, Santosh, and the entire team for an experience I will carry in my heart forever. Highly, highly recommended to anyone looking for a meaningful and well-guided Himalayan adventure.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words 🙏 We are truly grateful that you chose Shikhar Adventure for your Everest Base Camp journey. Incredible Everest Base Camp Experience

We had a truly amazing time on our Everest Base Camp Trek with Shikhar Adventure. From the start, there was nothing we had to worry about because everything was pre-planned. We would like to extend a special thank you to our guide, Dambar, who was not only well-versed in the mountains and their culture, but was also deeply concerned and caring. He always made sure that we were safe, sound, and in high spirits, and had so much information about the mountains and the culture there that it was an added experience in itself. Santosh, the porter, was also excellent -amiable, trustworthy, and always there to help with our luggage. Doing this with our friends made it much more special, and having such a terrific team behind us made it even more special. We can say with confidence that Shikhar Adventure has gone above and beyond to make sure that our time at Everest Base Camp is something we will always remember.

Response from the operator: Dear Elliot, Thank you so much for your wonderful words! We are truly humbled and delighted to know that your Everest Base Camp trek was such a memorable experience. We're so pleased that Dambar and Santosh could make your journey special. We'll be sure to share your kind appreciation with them – they'll be thrilled to hear how much their care and dedication meant to you. It was our privilege to be part of your adventure with friends. Knowing we helped create memories you'll cherish forever means the world to us. Thank you for choosing Shikhar Adventure and trusting us with your trek. We hope the mountains call you back someday, and we'd be honored to welcome you again! Warm regards and safe travels,

    Great EBC porter

Amazing agency! We needed a porter for our Surke-EBC trekk and we were partnered with amazing guy named Santosh. He not only carried the bags, but also told us a lot about the region and helped with lodges booking. He was a great support when we had health problems. 100% recommend both Santosh and Shikhar Adventure

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled that Santosh made your Surke-EBC trek such a positive experience. Santosh is indeed a wonderful member of our team, and we're so glad he went above and beyond by sharing his knowledge of the region, assisting with bookings, and especially being there for you during health challenges. Your comfort and safety are always our top priority. Thank you for recommending both Santosh and Shikhar Adventure. It means so much to us, and we'd be honored to support you on another Himalayan journey in the future. With warm regards and gratitude,

14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,595 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters take?

    +

Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 336-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek with Local Guide & Porters start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
