Wonderful Experience, Great support, Highly recommended

Dear Travel China Guide Team, I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service provided during our recent trip to China. It was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. I would like to extend a special thanks to our travel agent, Kelly. She was outstanding—patient, responsive, and insightful throughout the planning and execution phases. Her recommendations were invaluable, and she remained attentive and supportive right up until the final day of our tour. The local guides at each of our stops were equally impressive. I would like to specifically commend Selina (Beijing), Michael (Xi An), Arthur (Guilin), Marc (Chongqing), Michael (Zhangjiajie), and Helen (Shanghai). They were all incredibly enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and caring. Their personal insights and local tips added a unique and memorable dimension to every destination we visited. Furthermore, we were very pleased with the hotel accommodations, which were consistently clean, comfortable, and ideally situated. The itinerary was expertly crafted, offering a perfect balance between structured activities and free time for independent exploration. Having all logistics—including transportation, tickets, and reservations—seamlessly handled allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience without any stress. Thank you for such a well-organized and enjoyable trip. We would highly recommend Travel China Guide to anyone planning a visit to China.

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, thank you for this generous and thoughtful review. Kelly and our team of guides will be deeply pleased to know that their care and expertise made your journey so rewarding. We hope the memories of each city—from Beijing to Shanghai—stay with you, and that we might have the chance to welcome you back for another exploration of China. Thank you for choosing us.

A great experience seeing many of the nation's most popular attractions.

We had a wonderful experience in China. Our organizer, Emily, at Travel China made it an easy experience from start to finish. We were even able to meet her personally which we all were hopeful that could be arranged. I highly recommend the company.

Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing your great experience! Emily truly loves making every guest feel cared for, and meeting you in person was a joy for her. She will be overjoyed that you had such a wonderful time. Thank you for your kind words and recommendation.

China Travel Guide Exceeded Expectations

China Travel Guide, with Emily as our tour lead, created and delivered an amazing 15 day tour of China for our small group of 12. Each of the locations had a local guide who would meet us at the airport or train station and then be our local guide. We had an itinerary but it was flexible to accommodate the group. All the hotels were first class but not over the top pretentious. In addition, Emily provided exceptional guidance for use getting our VISA's and having the best apps for maps, translation, and making payments.

Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing your amazing experience! Emily truly loves helping groups discover China with seamless planning and personal support. She will be overjoyed that you appreciated the local guides, hotels, and her visa and app tips. Thank you for your kind words.

14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does 14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai cost?

+

Prices start at $3439 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai take?

+

Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is 14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 159 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 336-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai?

+

Around 56 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 14-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangtze Cruise, Shanghai start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

+

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
