What a wonderful introduction to China

We had a wonderful experience with the private tour prepared for us. We extended the itinerary to include Chengdu, Lijiang, Dali, Kunming, and Chongqing. Our tour planner, Amy, consistently went the extra mile. Her service was professional, well organised, and reliable from start to finish. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, and our guides were knowledgeable—especially Belinda in Xi’an, Andrea in Chengdu, Michael in Zhangjiajie, and James in Shanghai. Every guide went out of their way to make us feel at home. We particularly appreciated their excellent communication, attention to detail, and willingness to accommodate our needs. They also offered valuable insights into China’s rich history, culture, and local traditions, making the trip both enjoyable and memorable. The transportation arrangements were seamless, smooth, and comfortable throughout. Overall, we highly recommend Travel by China Guide—and Amy in particular—to anyone planning a trip to China. China.. An Amazing Place, and Certainly a Trip of our Lifetime

Our expectations of a trip of a lifetime was certainly satisfied with this great trip we just completed.. China is such a wonderful country, and it's people are also very friendly and amazing.. Speaking of amazing, we had a different guide, a local, in each of the major cities that was part of this trip, and each one of them truly cared about our well-being and providing us a memorable experience. The hotels we stayed at were each unique and wonderful in their own way, and their location enabled us to venture outside at night after the days activities to learn more about the wonderful cities we visited in this great vacation.

Travel China Guide - 13 day Private Tour Changsha - Fenghuang - Furong - Zhangjiajie - Jiuzhaigou - Chongqing

My husband and I used Travel China Guide to customize a 13 day private tour of China, visiting many natural / national parks and Chongqing. We worked with Amy Jian, a travel consultant at Travel China Guide. Amy was very helpful in setting up our tour and responded quickly to our requests. Thank you Amy! This is an abbreviated version of the itinerary we setup, which avoided cities we had previously visited in China. The tour included a private guide and driver for each locale we visited, high speed train transfers between locales, hotel stays, and entry tickets to most parks we visited. All hotels provided breakfast. All other meals we purchased seperately. Day 1 - Arrival in Changsha mid afternoon. Day 2 - Changsha (Orange Island, Yuelu Academy) - high speed train to Fenhuang Day 3 - Fenghuang Ancient Town - Furong Town - Zhangjiajie Day 4 - Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park (999-step Heavenly Stairway, Glass skywalk, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon including the Glass Bridge) Day 5 - Zhanjiajie National Forest Park (Yuanjiajie Scenic Area by Bailong Elevator, Yangjiajie Scenic Area, Tianzi Mountain, Ten-mile Gallery) Day 6 - Zhangjiajie - high speed train to Chengdu (overnight stay) Day 7 - Chengdu - high speed train to Huanglong Jiuzhai (Huanglong Monastery* and the Multi-coloured Pools *this monastery is at about 12000' elevation - bring altitude sickness meds if needed) Day 8 - Jiuzhaigou ( Jiuzhaigou Valley National Park - Multi-coloured Lake, Nuorilong Fall, Long Lake, Tiger Lake) Day 9 - Jiuzhaigou (Jiuzhaigou Valley National Park - Grass, Swan, Tiger Lakes, and Pearl Shores) Day 10 - Jiuzhaigou - high speed train to Chengdu and then onto Chongqing Day 11 - Chongqing - Wulong (Three Natural bridges and The Longshuixia Fissure Gorge) Day 12 - Chongqing (Ciqikou Ancient Town, Liziba station, and Hongya Cave) Day 13 - Return Flights We had private tour guides in each locale and private transport too. All of the guides and drivers were excellent. All the guides spoke english reasonably well, were very friendly, informative, and professional. We would like to specifically thank Lemi and Juju in Changsha, Rosie in Zhanjiajie, Jack in Jiuzhaigou, and Alice in Chongqing. They all did a great job seeing to our needs and showing us their country. The vehicles we traveled in were typically newer vans or sedans. All were very comfortable. The drivers always provided bottles of water. We recommend using Travel China Guide as their service was very good, and more affordable than comparable tour operators. Things to consider: 1. There was a considerable amount of walking and stairs in these parks / cities. Rosie, our guide in Zhangjiajie, logged 20,000 steps during our Day 4 adventure (and many of those steps were up!). I think we walked even more than that the days we visited Jiuzhaigou. 2. All the parks were quite busy and packed with people. 3. I say this jokingly, but McDonalds and KFC are availabe in most locales for my American breathren (I admit we ended up at McD's a few times - they have an excellent Jasmine Milk Tea Frappe, and super spicy Chicken Sandwiches! ).

Incredibly impressive China tour with the family

All in all we ha a great and beautiful tour in Chaina with the family. From the very beginning when defining the itinerary with had always a very good conversation with Kina Lu from Travel China Guide. We had lots of questions and special request with adding Zhangjiajie to the tour plan or with requesting a glutenfree meal for our son. Even during the tour we could always get back to Kina with questions and she responded immediately. We felt very well care of. The guides and the drivers were great and we could always do changes to our plan on the same day. All guides were keen to provide us the best experience at our tour.

Memorable Experience in China

TravelChinaGuide gave us a wonderful and memorable experience in China. The hotels were top class and the guides were excellent. All our guides in Beijing, Xi an, Guilin, and Shanghai were hardworking and provided excellent services. Kitty, stood out for her outstanding and exceptional start, in setting a positive tone for the trip; Lily in Xian for her professionalism and a fantastic work in getting the group through the airport to Guilin, and who would forget Lily in Guilin for soothing folk songs.
