Great first experience of China

From the start this was an amazing trip. We had been sent an itinerary , which we discussed with our travel consultant before we left and it worked really well. Everything was booked in advance .We where met at each new town by a different guide and driver.who looked after us from arrival to departure ,seeing us safely onto trains and planes. All the cars where of a good standard really clean, with bottled water at least twice a day . The drivers were all good ,driving in China in the cities is different to here ! The guides were excellent they all had a good standard of English and knowledge of their area. They were proud of their country and keen to show case it.They often added little optional extras on such as shows and helped us with menus in restaurants which helped make our trip even more enjoyable Generally the accommodation in the hotels was very good. We had to stay in a different hotel to the one planned in Guilin due to flood damage which wasn't as good as the others but still of a good standard .We also found our hotel room in Shanghai was rather tired and could have done with a revamp, although the hotel itself was great with a revolving restaurant and sky dome bar which we really enjoyed . Part of our tour included a cruise on the Yangtze river. After the great hotels we had been staying in the room seemed small and a bit cramped so we upgraded to a higher floor and larger room, this also meant we could use the VIP dining room which had excellent service. We wanted a vegetarian diet and they couldn't have been more helpful. We found the whole experience most enjoyable and would be happy to travel with travel china tour guide again

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, thank you for your encouraging post. How exciting to have your high opinion of our travel service! China Tour by Travel China Guide was Fantastic!

I had an amazing time and would recommend Travel China Guide again especially if Emily was coordinating the trip! Every place and every tour was amazing. It wasn't always easy because there were days we walked over 7 miles or climbed mountains even with a cable car when we went to the Great Wall, but all of it was worth it. The amazing tours led by Candy in Beijing, Celine in Xi'an and Connie in Chengdu were informative and fun! I had the best time being led by these amazing ladies! My China vacation was wonderful and if Emily Xin organized it with these three guides I would be go back in heart beat. I can't say enough positive things about the whole trip! It was amazing.

Response from the operator: Dear Sherri, we greatly appreciate your constant trust and these encouraging posts! Your satisfaction of your China trip is a great commendation of our travel planning and service. We have tour service in more than 120 countries globally and we will be happy to have a chance to serve you in the future to explore more travel destinations. Best regards.

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 360-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
